I was extremely happy with this company, I found everyone to be professional and friendly. The boats were nice and not packed like some of the other boats I saw going out. I chose them because they are able to get out a few weeks earlier in whale season than other companies. If the company has been doing it long enough they are grandfathered in to be able to go out at the end of May vs. the beginning of June. Keep in mind you may see 15 whale sharks vs later in the season with the potential for 50+. The water was super choppy which made for a rough ride but the captain did his best to navigate around the waves and not plow through them, I appreciated the effort. I was originally supposed to go on a Sunday but they emailed and rescheduled because of the large waves which showed they were more concerned with our safety/comfort than they were with profit.…

I would say this was A SCAM!! I do not recommend this tour at all. At first when I booked it, it did not say this was not a whale shark tour. it was misleading at least and lying at worst. it says snorkeling equipment is included but nope!! we only were given goggles, they didn't have enough. How are you supposed snorkel only wearing goggles??? they also said there will be more snorkeling after lunch, but No, we head back to after lunch nothing more followed. Shopping on the Isla Mujeres for an hour? that also was not ture, we only had 30 minutes. This is the worst experience ever and total waste of money. DO NOT USE THEM. i wish i had someone to tell me all this so I could've done myself favor.…

I’ve definitely been on better excursions, and I’d mainly say when looking for things to do doing the pandemic, definitely look at the most updated information relevant to the current time. We didn’t get to snorkel, and we got no explanation of why. Most of the trip catered to Spanish speaking attendees and while I understand the location, this is marketed as a tourist attraction. We couldn’t understand where to even get the “included food and drink” off the boat, with the exception of the buffet lunch. Lunch was ok, it took forever to get a drink of water at the buffet. If there was more music and liveliness provided by the boat tour guides, I’d have even given more understanding but everything seemed like the ultimate goal was to get the tourists to town to buy things. We swam for an hour at a stop off point and that was probably the highlight. Zero snorkeling, someone on the trip was even upset that they didn’t try to address it. They claimed weather but knowing this type of excursion, you can’t cut all these corners and charge full price for something not even worth that. I’d advise you to shop around for a different excursion, there are plenty and look for the ones highly rated despite covid.…

When we booked this tour we didn’t realize that there would be hundreds of tourists on top of whale sharks in the open ocean. We assumed that you’d travel out in your small vessel and be the only ones around, but boy were we mistaken. Obviously these creatures are breathtaking, but by visiting them in these numbers it doesn’t seem safe or ecologically sound. The boat travels about an hour to where the sharks are and you see that there are a hundred other boats with about 10 people per boat. The boats have to have accidents as they are swarming the sharks and I watched a boat come within feet of a snorkeler. I can only imagine that they hit the sharks on accident at times. You then you jump in with a guide that helps you swim over the sharks. I was told to “go, go” and jumped in almost on top of the shark. You are told not to touch them, so it alarmed me when it was so close. This may have been because the shark was on the surface, but it was stressful for me and I am sure it is NOT good for the shark. You get two dives and the second dive was a much safer distance. The shark was further below the surface and I could swim above it. It was absolutely majestic, but I would never do this again realizing that it is probably horrible for these animals. The gov’t should do more to regulate the number of boats in a given area to protect the sharks.…
