Easy to schedule, responsive to email question. Prompt pick up at resort, and informative tours if 2 sites. A simple review here for a solid tour group that won't disappoint.

Helaman, our guide picked us up at our resort in Akumal. On the drive to Chichen Itza, we were given a comprehensive understanding of how the Lamanites are connected to the ancient Mayans through scripture. He took us to the buildings, thoroughly showed us what to look for. Skip the many hawkers, all the prices are overinflated. We went to Ek Balam, climbed the tall temple, very dangerous with no handrails and uneven stone steps. We skipped swimming in the cenote at Ik Kil, to many people screaming inside the cavern. Enjoyed our day with Helaman, he’s a good tour guide, learned a lot, speaks good English.

Helaman picked up my wife and I from our resort exactly when he said he would in his air-conditioned van. The tour was the high light of our trip to Cancun. I would recommend his company to others.

Went on this trip with my dad and brothers - it was a bucket list trip for papa. The Mayan ruins around Cancun are so impressive. We visited Tulum on a tour through our hotel, and it was good. However, we wanted more freedom to roam at Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, and an LDS perspective on what we were seeing. Helaman Tours was recommended to me by a friend. After my experience, I will be recommending him to my friends, as well. He was excellent!! Helaman and his family have been doing tours of the Mayan ruins for well over 20 years. He is a fountain of incredible insights and was extremely personable. At Chichen Itza, we were able to see more of the ruins than most tours were showing. After spending the morning at this site, he took us to Ik-Kil for lunch and a wonderfully refreshing swim in the cenote. Then on to Ek Balam. We spent several hours exploring these ruins, climbing to the top of the tallest structure and experiencing its grandeur. Then back to Cancun. It was a long day, but the information and experience were very much worth the time and effort. Thanks Helaman!
