    Must visit
Loved the experience with dolphins. Staff was helpful and they provide towels and clean lockers. I suggest an extra family member watches from above and take pictures to avoid the hefty package of over 100

Don’t listen to the bad reviews - book now!
This place was awesome. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the bad reviews. If you’re looking for aquarium fun, don’t go because there’s not much to it. BUT… if you’re going for the dolphin and trek activity you definitely should book!!! Towels, clean showers, and lockers provided. So much interaction with the dolphins it’s amazing and such a great memory to have. The Trek submersion Into the tank was pretty cool as well. The guides were patient with my 8 year old who was a little afraid at the beginning when they put the oxygen mask in and she started descending. The picture package at the end was overpriced in my opinion ($275 for both the trek and dolphin pictures) and we did try to talk them down as others said they did but it didn’t work. Lol Luckily my husband who didn’t participate in any activities got a great pics for our memory book.

Great experience, not cheap but worth it
We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday and did the swimming with Dolphines and the Under water sea trek, although not cheap both experiences were worth every penny. Swimming with Dolphines is something we have always wanted to do and it didn't dissapoint. The underwater sea trek was like nothing I have experienced before and once you have gotten over the apprehension of the physics and the big helmet it was also amazing, we got to touch a stongray, a puffa fish, a starfish and many other during our time in the water with many other colourful fish swimming around near us. The photo packages are expensive, but there is a bit of negotiation available but I think it's worth it for the memories of such a great day.
Dear Traveler: Thank you for writing your comments about your experience with us. We are glad to know that you had a great time in our aquarium and, of course the interaction with dolphins and The Sea Trek. We appreciate your review and we will let our staff know your comments, so they will keep doing their best to make your experience even better We hope you come back. And thank you so much for visiting Interactive Aquarium. Regards

    Fun and informative
Had a really great time. We didn't opt for any of the extras such as the dolphin experience or underwater trek, but the time we spent viewing the aquatics was really enjoyable and informative. Special thanks to Rodrigo and Karen, the staff for sharing their knowledge and making the experience fun.

    Fun La Isla experience
Like the title implies, if you’re there at La Isla you might as well check it out. There’s a big price gap between the different “tiers” of your experience, we thought the swimming with dolphins was way too overpriced so we didn’t bother. However the standard entry fee we opted for to walk around and spend time with the stingrays, sea turtles was pretty fun. If you’re with young children it’s definitely worth the time.

Interesting if you're in the mall
It's a mall aquarium. It's pretty small despite having dolphins. However, I did like the axolotls. It has a couple touch tanks, some tropical fish, and a large tank with some cool fugu fish. It can be quite crowded as well.
Dear Traveler: Thank you for taking your time to share your experience in our facilities. In the aquarium, we look to have a great service in each every one of the areas. The walk through in the aquarium can be 25 to 30 minutes or less, depending in how you take it. In fact, we have a lot of fish tanks in the first section, in the second part you can have contact with stingrays, starfish. Our only comment would be on their concern about the size of the habitats for the dolphins. In this regard, it is important for you to know that there is an official Mexican standard - which even exceeds international standards - and that regulates all dolphin care, from water quality, food, veterinary care and, of course, spaces available for animals. Best Regards

I’m going to tell you everything I learned about this tour;
1. We booked through the hotel. It was $40 cheaper to book the premier package that way than going direct & if you’re a TUI customer reading this, the
TUI packages are full of hidden extra costs and rubbish so you’re on the right lines with this one.
2. Take the bus here, it’s at the aquarium at the Liverpool/Isla centre & the transfer is $10 per person. The bus is 13 pesos.
3. They supply a towel & a locker included.
4. Don’t wear sunscreen or jewellery
5. They say it’s a group of no more than 4/6, but you’re in with all the packages. They close it down into different groups within the same pool. It’s not exclusive as it’s sold.
6. The photo packages are a massive rip off. $197 for the basic package of 40 photos, a further $80 for the scuba experience & $60 for the video. We haggled, they told us it was for the type of package we had. The other couple in our group refused to pay, then were offered the whole set for $100. I told the manager what I thought to that and he was more upset we had heard what they were offered. As sour tastes go, that was not one we wanted to finish on.
7. They left two photos of my wife out and the video, promised to put into the package and here we are 12 hours later without the rest of the package we paid for.

Other dolphin experiences are available, such as delfinius.

I will just add, the trainer was knowledgable and did answer all the questions, he was great.

Dear Traveler: Thank you very much for writing about your experience at our facilities. The logistic of the programs are made depending of the package, In you group was 4 people maxim, but in the habitat could be more groups. About your pictures, we gave as much options as we could to restore the situation. We apologize that you had this impression of our prices; however, we must say that the price is at the average price of photos for people swimming with dolphins in this area. Thank you so much for visiting The Interactive Aquarium. Best Regards

I went with my fiancée to swim with the dolphins. They had plenty of hand sanitizer and the staff was good about COVID precautions. The dolphins were well trained and had a good amount of fun tricks. One child in our group was afraid of them, and the staff was good about comforting the kid and adjusting some of the tricks to make it less scary. Doing the dorsal fin ride was worth the extra $20, and the Superman looked awesome too. The photos were expensive, so unfortunately we didn’t buy any. I would have bought one or two individuals, but they really wanted to sell the packages. If you do want to buy a photo package, don’t pay their listed prices. They’ll offer you better deals if you tell them it’s too much.

We purchased the Couples Dolphin Swim which included not only the 45 minute once of a lifetime encounter with dolphins, but also admission to the aquarium and the evening dolphin show. The trainers, ours was Michelle, were very patient when giving us directions in the pool and had complete control of the dolphins at all times. Felt very safe and secure. We bought the picture and video package which seemed a little pricey but well worth it given the experience. The aquarium is right in the hotel zone at La Isla Shopping village. Everything is very clean at this shopping village, with masks, temperature check and sanitizer required at entry to the aquarium, Easy to get to by public bus for only $1 US.

We got the $15 / person admission, and while some of the things exhibited were interesting (dolphin skeleton, turtle shells, live dolphins, some interesting fish, and some live starfish you could touch), we were in and out in 20 minutes or so, and initially assumed we mistakenly took a shortcut, but nope, that’s all there was to it.

It wasn’t bad really, just not worth $15 at all. More like $5? $10 max.

I did the dolphin ride with my son and daughter. It was super underwhelming. My wife did not want to participate so she was a companion, who was situated above. They purposely have you "ride" (hold onto the dolphin dorsal fin and get slowly dragged for 10-15 meters in a direction away from the area where anyone but their photographer could take a picture). The entire experience was focused around getting pictures with the dolphin as its trainer had it perform the same exercises (picture poses) with all participants. There was no education or learning. At the end of it all, they try to sell you photo packages for $200-300 (US dollars, not pesos). You get to touch a dolphin, but I am not sure that it is worth the price. Seems like another tourist trap.

We visited the aquarium Christmas Day, 2 adults and three children (5,8,12). When you arrive they pull you aside and try to sell you a packaged deal, dolphin swim, underwater trek, Ferris wheel ride, Ripleys believe it or not, wax museum, etc. We only did the aquarium fee, $15 per person.

When you first enter, they make you take a family photo to sell you at the end.

Like most reviews state, the hallway with tanks is very small. The amount of time that it takes varies on how interested your kids are. We took about 30 minutes.

You then go to the hands on interactive parts. Included with the entrance fee is the sting ray hands on. You can touch one after you wash your hands. There weren’t any manta rays, it appears there was an accident involving the crocodiles after a recent storm. So there also aren’t any crocodiles. The other tanks are more like tide pools. There is also a turtle tank.

If you want to enjoy the included dolphin show come after 3pm. I think 4pm
Would be a great time, the show starts at 5:30pm. This way you can do the aquarium and then the show.

The location is actually larger than I expected, if you included the dolphin center and the hands on tanks.

I deducted a star for its size, leaves you wishing it was larger and offered more fish varieties. Another star because although it’s advertised as interactive, there really wasn’t much other than the stingrays and sea-stars. There were tablets the kids could play, but the space was crowded. Not much room.

Took my four year old to swim with dolphins. We purchased the splash package for around 80 bucks. He was able to swim out with the dolphins and touch them while they swam around him. Also got to kiss them and get some good pics. Now the pics, they originally tried to charge us $120. By the end I had them talked down to $60 for all of the pics. The pictures are good quality. Family members can stand and take pics from above but they won’t compare to the pics they take. Also, it’s $15 for anyone to enter the aquarium who isn’t going to swim with dolphins. We also had a nice lunch at the restaurant while we waited for our turn to swim. Overall, I was happy with the experience and so was my kiddo.

My husband and I went to a place for breakfast one day that overlooked the dolphin pool. Once we saw the interaction everyone was having we decided we had to do it. It was amazing! We swam with the dolphins and did the sea trek. We did the foot push and it was one of the coolest things I have ever done. Usually at these swims you get minimal time in the actual pool with the dolphins we got a full 45 minutes of interaction and it was way less expensive then some of the other ones we have done. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I had limited time in Mexico so wanted to have as many adventures as possible. We did both the Splash swimming with the dolphins and the Aquatrek adventure back to back. When you are swimming with the dolphins you do 14 different activities with them and learn a little about their anatomy, skills, communication and training. Then we went upstairs to the top of the aquarium where we donned helmets that forced air around our faces and descended into the tank. Before you go in they teach you hand signals and tell you how to equalize the pressure in your ears (which is intense both going down and coming up). You get to touch various fish like stingrays and puffer fish and they take your picture behind a Cancun sign. After both the dolphin swim and the Aquatrek they try to sell you a picture package but they don't pressure you if you say no, and the prices aren't outrageous like other dolphin swims. In addition, your family can watch you in both activities if they enter the aquarium or eat at Jugo de Limon restaurant which overlooks the dolphin tank and the hall to the bathroom overlooks the aquarium. The rest of the aquarium is also fun, especially the shark tank.

Excellent experience!! The staff were very friendly and accommodating for our larger party (4 adults and 4 children). We were able to touch the stingrays, starfish and view the other fish inside the Aquarium before being shown to our seats. The water was very cold but welcoming once you were in the sun for a while. We had smaller children with us (5 and 6 year olds) but even they were able to do the full dolphin experience which allowed them to be pulled by the dolphins. The photo packages were extremely pricey but since we split the cost between two families it was reasonable. If we had done the experience with just our group we wouldn’t have paid for the pictures due to the price. The quality of the pictures was excellent though. Well worth it if you’re splitting it with another family.
