    Quick Getaway/ Private transportation/ Cancun
    Our driver from the airport to the hotel was Christian and driver Ronko on the way back. First, I am not consistent with posting or reviewing trip experiences unless it is a significant positive or bad experience. Our experience with Etransfer was outstanding!! The pick up and drop off was very well coordinated and concise. We did not waste our time waiting. We were not left out looking around for our driver in the crowded airport and our pick up (Ronko) was in our hotel lobby waiting for us. The drive was excellent, both drivers were helpful and knowledgeable. The only thing I would suggest but I think it is already being implemented is to have a bigger signage to find Etransfer out of about 20-30 transport companies flooded in the waiting area and appointed area to meet. Our welcome person was wearing a blue dress shirt which stood out of everyone wearing a white shirt. We got a text message and emails before pick ups for instructions and acknowledgement of pending pick ups so we did not feel lost. I heard from several tourists that their transportation companies left them waiting for quite awhile. We opted for a personal transport vs group for they will drop you off straight to the hotel instead of stopping on each hotel which would take time. I would recommend them and hire them on our next trip to Cancun. Also the SUVs we rode were very clean and polished and again both drivers were very professional, speaks little but understands English very well...we are in Cancun.

    Exceptional service!
    We reached out via phone per my well-traveled Uncle's recommendation ahead of our trip for all of our transfers. We left from the states and stayed one week in Riviera Maya, then a second week in Cancun. We used e-transfers from the airport to our hotel in Puerto Adventuras, then from Puerto Adventuras to our second hotel in Cancun, and again from Cancun back to the airport. We had 7 people and 10 pieces of luggage each trip. Our incoming flight to Cancun at the start of our trip was significantly delayed. They were in constant contact with me via email, text and/or Whatsapp. They knew of the delay as quickly as I knew and reached out to me before I could contact them. They met us past midnight (we were supposed to arrive at 5pm) and drove us to our hotel in Riviera Maya (1.5 hours trip) with no problems. The drivers (I am sad I failed to write down their names) were all AMAZING...with luggage, with conversation, tips about areas, and were all 3 genuinely great people with great customer service. The vehicles were all well cared for, very clean and tidy. AC worked really well in all of them. Our final trip back to the airport began well, but half way there one member of our group remembered they had forgotten items in the hotel safe. Our driver was very accommodating and turned around no problem. There ended up being a nominal fee for needing to turn around (it added 30+ minutes to the overall trip) but it was no big deal. All of our luggage fit with room to spare, (7 large bags, 3 carry-ons) all the drivers were very safe drivers and pleasant company to have. Would definitely use this company again for any transfers we do in the future in Mexico!

    ETransfer a positive experience
    We used eTransfer for several private trips from hotel to Xcaret, Tulum and hotel to Cancun for a boat ride. The drivers were prompt, and very courteous. The vehicle was clean and cool. Our drivers drove safely, and was not reckless. Orlando was our driver to Tulum and both routes for Cancun. He was our favorite driver and I give him 5 stars. He got us there on time. Interacted with our group, and really made us feel welcomed and was very accommodating. I will recommend using eTransfer for your transportation needs.

    Scammed into recommending eTransfers to travelers
    I hardly, hardly write negative reviews on the web, but this is a rare exception. I am writing this review as a content creator, so this is more of a review of how the eTransfers team operates as opposed to the service they provide as a transportation company. In a nutshell, I was swindled into joining the eTransfers affiliate program to recommend the brand to other travelers. Once I started generating sales from recommending eTransfers to my audience, the affiliate manager went completely silent on me. I had sent multiple emails over the course of 1 month, reached out to them on their website and on Instagram, and have been completely ignored on all channels. Needless to say, I have yet to receive a single dollar from them. This is a testament to their low integrity and untrustworthiness in terms of partnerships. I would urge all other publications and content creators to avoid working with eTransfers and City Car Rental, apparently their sister company.

    Good service but allow for traffic when planning a trip.
    We booked a round trip private van from the airport to Vidanta in Riviera Maya. We communicated through What's App, and were told that they knew that our plane was early. Unfortunately, the driver was not waiting for us. They are building a bridge right outside the airport and sometimes the traffic is backed up there for 3 hours. (As we went south from the airport we could see the backup for miles.) We arrived on a Monday afternoon which is a busy time. We found the office and they asked us to wait for the driver. We sat at a little drink stand next door and waited about a half hour before they came to get us and escort us to the van. The driver was great and offered us beer and water. Coming back to the airport, I asked them to pick us up early and the driver was on time to the minute. Since we were going home on a Sunday morning the traffic was not an issue. We still got beer and water because, hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere.

    So easy to work with!
    eTransfers has very competitive pricing. They are in constant communication to make sure everything goes smoothly. They were very responsive when I had to contact them to update my flight information multiple times. I had no worries about my transportation from the airport to my destination or on the way back to to the airport because of their great communication. The drivers were very friendly and professional as well.

    Beware
    Booking online was easy enough. I reserved two round-trip from cancun to tulum. We ending up having to cancel and was told a refund would take about 60 days. That was over a year ago and now the company has gone from dismissive responses to none at all. Beware of booking your transportation with them.

A day prior they sent a email and text with instructions on how to navigate through the airport and to the pickup location. Tip: When you clear customs, may sure you make a B line straight to outside ground transportation they mention in the text or email. After custom there are going to be ppl that will ask you, what transfer company you booked with and they will call to have them meet you outside and pick you up. This is not true, in most case if this does happen, the person will call someone else that they are team up with and offer you a ride at a separate charge. They will mention it’s they will reach out to eTransfer for free, once again it’s not true. Follow the email or text direction. Download WhatsApp ahead of time to call or text them. Our driver was very courteous, spoke perfect English and will ask if you would like to stop at a gas station convenient store to pick up anything before you reach the hotel. We landed around 9pm and eTransfer was safe and prompt. I will use them again!

    Tried to charge different price
    I booked a round trip transportation to Tulum and the listed price online and at checkout was $241 usd. When I checked my credit card bill, it showed that I was charged $259 so I called the company to ask why. The company claimed that it must’ve been my banks transaction fees which doesn’t make sense because my credit card doesnt charge any foreign fees which I then confirmed with my bank/credit card. Given the overcharge, I disputed the DIFFERENCE of $18. On the day of my booking, I called the company and they told me they would no longer provide service because the charge was being disputed, despite me telling them that I was only disputing the overage that they sneakily tried to pass on to me. I even tried rebooking with them since it was already late and other companies in the area were closed, but they were no longer able to assist. I was forced to call every company in the area and was nearly stranded at arrival all because this company tried to upcharge me.

    Tulum to Cancun shuttle
    Eric came to pick us up from our hotel in Tulum to take us back to the Cancun airport. We do not speak much Spanish and he does not speak much English, yet each of us was able to make the effort and have some rather delightful conversation during the long car ride. We were able to hold conversation about our families, jobs and the places we lived. He asked us about our vacation and gave us recommendations for our next visit. He was a great driver, which is not always the case with some companies/people.

In a nutshell, I was swindled into joining the eTransfers affiliate program to recommend the brand to other travelers. Once I started generating sales from recommending eTransfers to my audience, the affiliate manager went completely silent on me. I had sent multiple emails over the course of 1 month, reached out to them on their website and on Instagram, and have been completely ignored on all channels.

Needless to say, I have yet to receive a single dollar from them.

This is a testament to their low integrity and untrustworthiness in terms of partnerships. I would urge all other publications and content creators to avoid working with eTransfers and City Car Rental, apparently their sister company.

Eric came to pick us up from our hotel in Tulum to take us back to the Cancun airport. We do not speak much Spanish and he does not speak much English, yet each of us was able to make the effort and have some rather delightful conversation during the long car ride. On the 2nd day of our trip the last of our group arrived. A few hours into us all relaxing on the beach, I received a message from the company saying we may have left some items in the van with a picture or said items. It was my friends wallet and passport!!! They had fallen out and slid forward during the ride so when they did a final sweep it was overlooked. The company very nicely coordinated a delivery of all the items. Everything was exactly how it was supposed to be, all cards, cash and documents! This is a reputable company that provides A1 service at an affordable price.

They were on time in each direction for the three separate transfers that we booked. They were friendly and clean. They sanitized our luggage and provided hand sanitizer and the drivers wore their mask the entire trip. It’s the only company I will use moving forward when I visit Cancun/Tulum

We visited Playa del Carmen in Feb. 2021. My husband scheduled with eTransfers to take us from the airport to our hotel when we arrived and then from the hotel to the airport when we were leaving. ETransfers did a good job of keeping in touch with us via text messages and also a phone call. We did have to leave a day early and it was very easy to change our dates. Our driver on Feb. 2, 2021 was Miguel from the Cancun airport to Panama Jack Playa del Carmen. On Feb. 8, 202l, our driver going back I believe was Alberto. They both were professional, friendly, and did a great job getting us to our destinations. We highly recommend eTransfers to others and we thank them for an excellent experience.

Taxis are quiet expensive in Cancun. Their price are very reasonable compare from other companies. We used their services 3 times and they were on time always. Staffs were very kind, helped us out with carrying the luggage and felt very private. I highly recommend this company!
