Mexican flea market vendors appear helpful, but sadly we fell for the scam. Price was agreed upon, for 4 bottles of Vanilla and a tourist shirt.being 226 pesos, or ruffly, 15.00. They insert your charge card, press the appropriate buttons, and hand the machine back...More

We wanted to purchase some souvenirs and Flamingo Mall was in walking distance. Let me save you a trip. EVERY.SINGLE.VENDOR. had the exact same stuff. This is a run down indoor mall from the 70-80s where shop owners hang out in the walk way and...More

Thanks for your visit and comments. Since Hurricane Vilam some brands like McDonald decided to close, which makes us sad. But it is always a pleasure to know stories of tourists returning to visit us. Thanks you again

We were advised not to shop at Mercado 28 but to take advantage of Flamingo Mall because it was close to our hotel. With very few shops, there was not much bargaining to do. We wanted a traditional mexican dress for our 2 year old...More

Good morning, we regret that your experience in Flamingo, has been so unfortunate. Although we have shops with fixed prices like Cancun Mart, Plaza la Fiesta, Suvenirs Shop among others, there are also agents who use bargaining for sale. We appreciate your comments that we...More

If you’re looking for affordable souvenirs, this is probably your best bet. Not the best atmosphere, but a good variety of options. We visited the mall, knowing there would be a lot of people soliciting outside their shop doors to try and get us to...More

Came here as it was raining. No shops as such, just little stores offering souvenirs. The larger one was offering a bogof deal on almost everything which was good. Got a few bits but most of it was expensive. One shop didn't even take pesos...More

The only reason this place didn’t get a rating of one is because we went back and only went into the gift shop that’s accessed from the main road. In there everyone was helpful and friendly and prices were good. The good news ends there,...More

This is good place to get souvenirs. As usual, there are stores selling fake Cuban cigars even claiming they have some kind of government certification. Don’t buy they are fake.

If you want souvenirs, here’s the place to go. They will barter so there’s never a final price. The only downside I’d you have to run the gauntlet (vendors) to get outside. But they are very polite!
