Fort is still under renovation, no access to the roof or inside. Consider going somewhere Else as an employee at the Gate told us its gonna take still long to finish.....

The fort is under some roof renovation so there's no access inside. We walked in the grounds and enjoyed the views out to sea but were disappointed not to be able to cool down inside.

The fort and museum are small, but they have the jade masks found in the tombs at Calakmul, so a must see for those visiting Mayan sites. Most treasures like tomb masks are housed in the big anthropological museum in Mexico City.
