We thoroughly enjoyed our day-trip to Hierve el Agua with Tanya & Ralph. They picked us up on time in a very comfortable vehicle, observed COVID safety protocols, shared their impressive knowledge of local trees and plants during the hike, provided a delicious lunch + snacks and several extras (hiking stick, dry towels, chairs for the picnic). By the end of the day, our small group felt like a family (without the dysfunction). Tanya & Ralph know their stuff, and they make you feel welcome from the moment you meet them. Highly recommended!

We traveled to Hierve El Agua with Ralph and Tanya and had an absolutely incredible time; one of the highlights of our Mexico trip!

We were picked up early a 7:30am from our hotel and made the 1.5hr car ride to Hierve El Agua. Throughout the whole trip, we found Tanya and Ralph really personable and easy to talk to which made the long journey fly by. Getting to Hierve El Agua early was perfect as there were hardly any people around, even on a Sunday. The hike was done at a leisurely pace, taking around 1.5hrs and we finished at the breathtaking pools. Tanya and Ralph were kind to offer to take many photos of us to remember the trip and even provided towels for us to dry off.

We then had a delicious homemade picnic complete with Tanya's incredible homemade bread and a local pineapple drink that they purchased for us from a local vendor. On the way back, we liked the option for a second activity and we went to the Tlacolula Market. It was great to be able to do something else apart from just a trip to one attraction and Tanya was even generous enough to buy us a couple of handmade spatulas that she swears by (we are looking forward to trying them out!).

Overall, a wonderful, generous and all inclusive private tour to a must-see attraction. We highly recommend anyone going to Hierve El Agua to book with Go Well Tours. Thanks again to Tanya and Ralph, especially for the close encounter with the President of Mexico ;) and we hope you enjoyed googling the "quokkas"!

Jeff, I think we need to import a quokka because quokka selfies at Hierve el Agua?!? What could be more perfect! Other than your glamour foto shoot, of course. We had a fun, fantastic day with you both and thank for sharing your great comments with the global travel community. It's a big planet but if you find yourself back in Oaxaca, let's your together again! T

I cannot speak highly enough of the Go Well tour of Hierve el Agua that I took with Tanya and Ralph. Not only is the site itself just amazing (one of only two outside petrified waterfalls, I’m reliably informed 😀) but Tanya and Ralph were a wealth of fascinating facts shared throughout the hike. If you’re in two minds about swimming in the mineral pools after the hike, don’t be - it’s definitely something you don’t want to miss out on. Lunch was fantastic, and I opted for the Mescal factory tour and tasting on the way back, which was very interesting and I definitely recommend it. Tanya and Ralph are consummate hosts - friendly, organized and fun to spend time with. Overall, it was just a great day!

Well this is a sweet experience. First they never take more than 5 people, Tanya & Ralph have done their homework and are quite knowledgeable. We went on one trip with them and were so pleased that we signed up for a second. They love Mexico and have a great perspective on how it is to live there and they deeply care about where they live.

Lila, It was a joy to host you and Stephen for two days, we loved spending time with you and sharing our love for Oaxaca. I know we will see you back here, you seemed to fit right into the fabric of life here, so I trust Oaxaca will call you again and we will have the pleasure of your company again, too. You must tell me if the neighbors loved the mole you brought them back! Tanya

What a fabulous day hiking, swimming and learning about the petrified cascade in Hierve de Agua, Oaxaca, with Tanya and Ralph.

We whole heartedly appreciated their knowledge sharing, personalability, care, scrumptious home made lunch, genuine exchange, extra pit stop and translation assistance to repair sun glasses.

They far exceeded our expectations.

Definitely add Go Well Tours to your checklist of tours in Oaxaca!

With tremendous gratitude,
Merci mille fois!!

What a superb trip to Hierve al Agua with Ralph! The fascinating and educational hike, the spectacular views of the calcified cliffs and ‘waterfalls’, the refreshing swim in the ‘infinity’ pool, and the delicious home-cooked al fresco lunch under the palapas.

We were at this gorgeous spot 6 years ago but today’s in-depth and perfectly-paced trip was so much better and memorable. Ralph and Tanya know the area well and enjoy passing on their knowledge of the region’s history, flora, geology and culture to their guests. A highly recommended tour company!

We spent an amazing day with Tanya and Ralph. This is our second tour with them and it was as wonderful as our first tour two years ago. We went to a seldom visited archaeological site, then drove to an amazing canyon near Hierve del Agua where we walked through a beautiful canyon to our own private swimming hole. Our last visit of the day was to a small family-owned mezcal distillery. While we were there, we had an amazing multi-course lunch made by Tanya complete with homemade bread. Tanya and Ralph do their homework and create unique, top-rate experiences. Take a tour with them, you will be glad you did.

Deborah! It was a pleasure to have you both back in the van with us! I trust you are both well and staying safe at home. Of course we would love to see you back in Oaxaca after all the craziness of this pandemic is done and over with. We'll have to head out to Apoala next time! Keep well, Tanya

We had so much fun visiting Hierve el Agua with Tanya and Ralph. It was so nice and stress free to have them pick us up and handle the driving and tolls and entrance and bathroom fees so we could focus on learning about Oaxaca and this incredible place. The hike was very cool and I’m glad we had someone to show us that instead of just hanging out at the pools for a short time. They thought of every detail (frozen water bottles, snacks, towels to dry off, homemade lunch, nice places to take photos, etc!) to make the day perfect. Tanya changed my life by introducing me to tiny bananas and the piña loca! We loved all the tidbits about native plants and wildlife too - altogether incredible! We also got to go to Tlacolula market afterwards at Tanya’s suggestion, which was an amazing place to see all kinds of things. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Oaxaca! It’s so worth it and Tanya and Ralph are great people to hang out with regardless. I hope to be back in Oaxaca again and I would love to take one of their other tours!

Katie! We had such a lovely day with you and Connor and I was on tour last week and handed someone a small banana and almost said: be careful, it can change your life... It was an amazing day introducing you both to all kinds of fun and different things and I know it is a day we will both remember fondly for a long time to come. I hope we get to spend more time with you both, come back to Oaxaca. Our home is your home. Tanya

This was the most special day of our week in Oaxaca and only wish we had found them sooner. It felt like being w friends who are extremely knowledgeable and articulate about the local history, culture and phenomena. They accommodated our particular needs and dietary restriction and are remarkably kind and generous. By the end of the day we were not only more informed, but we really enjoyed our day and felt like friends. Next time we will use them for more adventures, thank you Tanya and Ralph!!

Polly & The Gang! Thank so much for taking the time to review your day with us, we always appreciate it and we had a great day with your family. You let us take tons of fun pictures of your crew, too! We wish we could have spent at least another day together, as you could likely tell from Ralph's offer to go out and explore together later in the week. We hope to see you back in Oaxaca. All the best for the new year, Tanya & Ralph

We spent two very enjoyable days with Tanya and Ralph. They are very engaging and knowledgeable guides. Each day was carefully planned to fit our interests and to give us a variety of experiences. Tanya and Ralph have also built personal relationships with various people in the villages we visited which enabled us to view such things as artisan's workshops that are normally closed to tourists. They are very comfortable taking their clients to spots normally not visited by tourists. One of our days centered on the area around Cuilapam and Zaachila and included historic and archeological sites, a livestock market, lunch with goal barbacoa tacos, and an extensive visit to the village where the wooden alebrije or fantastic beasts are made. Our second day included a walk and swim in a slot canyon and pool as well as a picnic and in-depth visit to an out-of-way mezcal "factory." As others have experienced. Tanya's homemade bread was wonderful. We would definitely travel with Tanya and Ralph again during our next visit to Oaxaca.

Sally & Rob, It was absolutely wonderful to tour with you both, and your extended family and friends while you were in Oaxaca. It was only a short time ago and yet it seems like a world away. I have great memories of trying to get Rob to buy an oxen team, and Ede texting that she was eating goat tacos, and sitting on the rocks in the sun drying off at Las Salinas before lunch at Daniel's together. I hope both your son and daughter and their respective partners are well and that you are both safe in this challenging time in our world. All our best for Oaxaca, Tanya & Ralph
