In January, there was a mix of artists' work on display: some good; some not so good. However, I don´t remember paying much, if anything, to see what was available. If you don´t go, you won´t know what you missed.

First I want to say that the building is beautiful, and we really enjoyed it. However the exhibits at the time we were there were terrible, even pornographic. Since this museo does not have its own collection, its quality is up or down depending on the special exhibition of the season. Nice exhibition space, but little attention to visitor service....it's basically self-serve. Hours can be sporadic too, so call ahead to be sure they're open (or ask your hotel to check with them by phone). Some of their... More

On my second trip to Oaxaca I had more time to visit the lesser known attractions and this was one of the best surprises. For only 20 pesos I got to see a special exhibit of Rodolfo Morales' work and another on the second level of Santiago Carbonella...What talent! It's quiet place to appreciate these beautiful works but just across... More
