This is a review for the Monte Alban tour company, whose Monte Alban tour we signed up for in a t-shirt shop in Oaxaca (maybe the first sign we shouldn’t have gone for it). They were about 45 minutes late to pick us up from...More

We signed up for 2 tours with this company. The Monte Alban full day tour was just okay and the driver was 20 minutes late picking us up. The tour guide who met us at Monte Alban was really good and is the reason I'm...More

Its very impressive and very large. You will need to do a lot of walking, stair climbing and if its a hot day or anywhere near hot take plenty of water. More important to me was the Museo de las Cullturas de Oaxaca where many...More

This review is for a company called Monte Alban Tours, rather than a tour of Monte Alban (the archaeological site). They are on Alcala, near the Santo Domingo church. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, and asked if they could arrange a private hike...More

After a bad experience in Mexico City where we were hi-jacked and our half-day tour became a ten-hour marathon, we were cautious about visiting the ruins at Mont Alban. Our organisers (Turismo el Conventura de Oaxaca) were great in that they arranged for us to...More

A good and economical way to visit Monte Alban from Oaxaca is to take the round trip bus. But it leaves 20-30 minutes late and picks up and drops off on different blocks in the city centre. So one needs patience.

We were in Oaxaca for the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) festivities at the end of October/early November. That is a great time to visit Oaxaca to experience the simple pleasures of parades in the streets, excellent food, including pan de muertos...More

Write directly to them. Google their website (it won't let me enter it here) and their contact address is right on the home page. You will get a more authoritative answer directly from them than from people guessing here.
