Cooking classes are held at CASA CRESPO Restaurant. Casa Crespo is a cooking school devoted exclusively to the cuisine of Oaxaca. What better way to learn more about this region´s culture than by savoring Oaxacan cuisine?

Excellent class. Had the opportunity to prepare many delicious Oaxacan dishes with an expert description of the ingredients being used and hands on preparation of the dishes. We then enjoyed a leisurely meal graciously served by Oscar and his staff.
Oscar and his team at Casa Crespo were amazing. His knowledge of the local cuisine and ability to work with us to make a vegan menu was really awesome. The food was delicious and the experience we had creating some really authentic Oaxacan flavors made...More
Oscar fue amable, conocedor y profesional. La lección fue fácil de entender y cocinar con las recetas en Canadá es muy popular. Lo único que lamentamos fue no comprar más chocolate. ¡Muy recomendable!

We just finished Oscar’s cooking class and I cannot fully communicate just how wonderful it was. The class takes place in his beautiful home with a huge kitchen and a lovely courtyard where we enjoyed our meal. First Oscar let us pick the menu with...More
I had such a great time cooking and learning from Oscar. He was kind enough to do a session with just me, and was super knowledgeable.
I had a chance to drink wine and mezcal whilst enjoying the meal I helped prepare.
My girlfriend and I had the best day with Oscar and his team at Casa Crespo. From the moment we started the morning off with some traditional cafe/chocolate while discussing our proposed menu (you get a lot of input on what you want to learn!),...More
A four hour cooking class with a lovely visit to the market and many dishes - especially moles! We did the class with one other woman, but it felt rushed at times - with a lot of food processing. The end result was delicious but...More
Chef Oscar really knows his stuff. He was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and the various types of mole (There are way more than just 3). We planned our menu with the other students (there were no more than 6 in a class).
This 4-5 hour class with Oscar was a whirlwind of cooking. We made three salsas, three moles, Chile’s Rellenos, black bean soup, two different kinds of tortillas and fresh corn ice cream. Class opened with a trip to the local market, and closed with a...More
