Not busy, "Sitting down" is a VIP experience.

Thursday was not busy; sitting down is VIP (bottle service) only; honestly Bar Las Brujas was a way better night out as queer women. My wife and I visited Mexico City for our honeymoon. We wanted to try a night out; most of the info I found online about going out as a lesbian was outdated. I looked up so many bars that are now closed or have switched gears, but Kinky Bar seemed to still have a ladies night on Thursdays. It was not great! At most there appeared to be 10 queer women in the club at one time (including us). There were a few straight couples and some gay men as well. Maybe a Thursday in March is just not a busy time. And, it seems like most of the club is being renovated. I'm not sure how that contributes, but overall we were disappointed. I'm glad we were there together so we could still make a good time happen, but the place was just not jumping. Security was pretty intense to us; we don't go clubbing so I don't know if that's unusual but it was off-putting to be so intensely managed by all male security (and almost entirely male staff). And most important thing to know: sitting down is a VIP-only experience; you have to buy a bottle, and a mixer and waters are required. Not a bottle service/VIP room or area, no - just access to any chair or stool. We enjoyed the cocktails and the music and the intermittent dancers, but I don't think we would go back. RE: the renovations: the "terrace" is open. As we are still COVID conscious we were also interested in this club having a terrace but it turns out that is still mostly indoors. It does have a balcony which we were able to use with almost no one else out there.

My partner and I stopped at this bar during our visit to Mexico City from New York City. The atmosphere was fun, non-pretentious and much better than most of the other bars that we hit up first in the same area.

Would recommend for a fun night out!

Service is terrible, in case you need to go out you have to pay again to come in. Be aware of the Waiters because they will charge you whatever they want if you don’t ask for the menu. It is a pity because the place is quiet pretty but the music and service are awful.

Nice place in Zona Rosa. It stays open late on weekends.

The upstairs gets packed as people dance. A few GoGo dancers on Friday and Saturday nights. I prefer Sat nights myself.

You can order larger drinks in styrofoam cups here (3 shots of liquor basically) at a better price.

They play mostly Latin music but English pop songs mixed throughout.

Empty and they didn’t tell me when I asked downstairs. They would recharge me to come back in later in the evening. Not cool.

Bar with multiple rooms, including a separate VIP area. Multiple waiters who try to get you to the VIP area. Really just a place to stand and drink.

The only bar that charges cover, but they do it for a reason. The drinks are ok, Fridays and Saturdays they have go go boys that mix your drinks. This place gets packed just like any other bar in the strip. The balcony is the place were people are allowed to smoke so it gets packed with smokers. The music is great, they play Spanish and English (pop) songs. The crowds is cute and young but to much attitude. Its a great place to start the night.

Great music, completely straight bar, we were the only gays on a Thursday night. Stayed for the music, left early because we came to see the boys and there were none...

My wife and I fancied checking out the gay nightlife in Mexico City. This bar was less crammed than some of the others where you could barely move, probably thanks to the 70 peso cover charge. Drinks were reasonably priced. Quite a few straight people in the bar, but also plenty of gays (and women!) so a pretty good mix. The karaoke room was a bit wild if you don’t know Mexican pop (which we didn’t) but the other room played an excellent medley of naughties music from Britney to Robbie - good for a dance!
