The place needs some updating it’s a bit run down. The show was pretty good and the artist were fantastic! The food was good but not amazing. I’d go again for the singers but not much else.
I’m also giving it a 3 because we were told it was family friendly for the late show and it’s not. It more of an adult situation.

During both of my group study abroad trips to central Mexico, our guide Octavio and two professors brought us to this mariachi / Mexican culture show on our final night. Spending 2+ hours among the sights and sounds of Mexico, even if it was in a touristic setting, was the perfect way to end our week-long trip to Puebla and Mexico City!

This location is slightly off the beaten path, as after we got off the bus we had to walk across a large city square and past several mariachi bands playing on the street. We arrived at least 45 minutes early to the show on each occasion, as we wished to get the best possible seats. Both times we sat on the floor by the stage - my first visit involved me sitting right by the stage, literally my right arm resting on it all night. This made it a tad difficult in keeping focused on the show, as my head got tired with being turned to the right all night. My second time here was better, as I quickly claimed a spot that was only 5 seats away from the stage - thus, I was easily able to turn my chair and help my aching neck. We enjoyed a beer or two as we waited for the show to start, and boy, did we come away overwhelmingly impressed!

The show has many musical acts, which often include the usage of a mariachi band in the background. Several solo renditions of songs performed in the Spanish language highlight the night, with the male and female performers dressed in various ethnic attire. My favorite musical acts included the four pairs of dancers who performed with lighted candles in the dark, along with the highly-colorful indigenous-style clothed dancers. Other performances including mock cock fights and spinning a lasso. Several of the solo singers will ask different tables in the audience where they are from. If you're from the U.S., please say "Estados Unidos." And say it loud and proud! The intermission is nice in that some of the performers may ask audience members to dance with them! Then couples from the audience are welcomed up to dance for the next half hour or so.

On both trips my group left shortly after the show returned following intermission, so I could only guess that it lasts up to 3 hours. But even 2 hours of this show is enough to satisfy the hungry heart! iAmo Mexico!!!

I would like to point out how correct and honest the people were, having read negative evaluations of tourists about places on Plaza Garibaldi.
I booked on the phone in very poor Spanish, nevertheless the table was there waiting for us. The owner or director informed us that there would be a cover of 50 pesos (= 2.50 USD!) because of the show and also that they would charge 10% service (propina). The show was very, very good and 2.50 USD is very low.

We ate, because we wanted to eat. Nobody pushed us to anything, I had to ask for a menu. If one wishes, one can sit there 4 hours with one drink and enjoy the show and dance thereafter.
I would recommend to learn something about mariachi music before going: if the main singer comes to your table and asks which song you would like to hear, it is embarrassing not to have an answer. Most customers were from Latin American countries and appeared to know most songs by heart.
There were also folkloric dances. I have been to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and saw the Ballet by Amalia Hernandez, which is really on a very high level. Well, the dances here were also very good. I think the high number of native Spanish speakers among the customers is a sign that the performance is good also for an experienced public and not just made for U.S. or European tourists. The menu is only in Spanish, but there are the pictures. Also, I think a small Spanish dictionary (possibly bought in Mexico and not in Spain) belongs to the necessary items, if you want to enjoy Mexico.

Just one small warning: Don't look at the menu online, it does not have any similarity with reality. Go, have fun and watch your belongings the same way you would do in Paris, London etc

We stopped in but were early for the show. They told us there was a cover charge for the show but we said we only wanted to have a drink and then decide whether to stay for the show. Well we decided not to stay and left before the show started yet they wanted to charge us the cover charge for 4 people and the Margaritas were not all that good. Needless to say we refused to pay the cover and just payer for the drinks. This looks like a big rip off for tourists so watch out!!!

We went to Guadalajara de Noche mid-week without reservations. When we arrived there were just a few tables occupied. We ordered drinks, dinner and waited for the show to begin.
The show is a combination of some folk dances and mariachi. It is entertaining, but not a knock your socks off production. The food is mediocre at best.

We were unable to make a reservation (their site was broken, but we went anyway and managed to get a table in the back corner. The crowd was as entertaining as the show. They seemed to know all the words to all the shows. Great night. Drinks are pretty expensive, food portions are small (they don't match what the menu says) 435g on the menu is more like 90g of ribs on your plate.

This place was recommended to us by our tour guide. When we got there, to the Plaza Garibaldi, at first it wasn't that striking. But when we entered, and the show started it was GREAT !!! Dances, music, Mariachis, etc. Then the party stared after the show and everybody got up to the dance floor and dance the night away.

This place was great! It included food, drinks, live music, mariachis, and a great overall glimpse of Mexico! The place was packed but the show is amazing! It's a fun experience that begins around 9pm to 3am and the entrance costs 50 pesos mexicanos per person (around $2.50). It's a must see location when in Mexico!
