We did a custom tour through Chapultepec Parque which I highly recommend. It is a beautiful park and the air is so clean. We saw the botanical garden, and some vegetable gardens that showcase the things that will grow in Mexico City. There is also a reading garden, a corn museum, and an amazing artisinal gift shop. The owner was most knowlegeable with regard to history and drew diagrams to explain the development of the city. As this was a custom tour my interests may not reflect yours but I highly recommend this tour. The bicycle was fitted to me and worked very well and I just can't recommend this tour highly enough.

We had a great time pedalling through Mexico city historic center main landmarks. This guys make the whole experience very interesting and dynamic. This is for sure the best way to do a city tour. I highly recommend it.

Did I go to the wrong place? Did I get the wrong tour guide? It sounds like everyone on TripAdvisor had a great tour. I had a bad experience. Renee, my tour guide, barely ever spoke. Was she replacing someone else? Honestly, she must have spoken 4 times maximum in the 4 hours of the tour. I had friends visiting from out of town and they wanted to do the tour, but I ended up telling them more about the city and the history than our tour guide. Did I really just pay USD $40 for a bike rental? I am so dissapoointed.

We went on the tour that goes through Chapultepec Park, Centro Historica, Roma and Condesa. The route was one of the most interesting of all the bike tours I've ever done, and it was a fantastic way to cover a lot of ground, see some great neighborhoods, and almost entirely on the flat! I particularly enjoyed some hidden gems like the auditory garden in Chapultepec Park. There are some parts on busy roads but mostly it's on cycle paths, quiet roads, or through the park, which is great. Despite all this, I would hesitate to recommend this tour.

I believe our guide was called Diego. He was prompt but explained very little about the tour either in advance or during it. His 'guiding' was mostly an occasional, slow "This is zona rosa," or "This is the zocalo." His cycling and road safety skills were extremely concerning, from ridiculing us for asking for helmets to cutting off other cyclists, cutting out in front of fast-moving cars, going the wrong way up busy roads, veering all over the road, and repeatedly putting his and our lives in danger at turns and crossings as we foolishly tried to follow him. He never accurately signaled, leaving us anxiously trying to work out what his intentions were at busy junctions. At one point he lightly hit a pedestrian, at another point he was very nearly hit by a taxi, and seemed oblivious til I screamed and the car screeched to a halt. Both incidents were clearly 100% his fault. As a seasoned city cyclist in my own cities, who has gone on a huge number of city bike tours, I'm neither a wuss not an angel - but I was appalled. Thanks to my own cycling confidence, I was able to make sure I took my own decisions about when and if it was safe to do something rather than following him, and at one point I refused to cut across 6 lanes of traffic, against the lights, as he inexplicably had intended, rather than waiting a minute for the lights... And he doesn't really check his clients are following ok either. If you are a confident city cyclist, this trip is worth doing for the route. If you're not, or if you have children involved, or want to hear about the history or background to the sites you go past, I'd steer clear of this tour - especially due to safety concerns. I'd have been far safer following that route without a guide!

My husband and I went on the bike tour of Coyoacan with Diego in early September. We wanted to get around and see Coyoacan during our visit to Mexico City and it was a fun way to see things. My husband and I are both in our late 50s and are pretty active (and have our own cruiser bikes) so I knew from the description and photos that we would be able to manage it physically. And yes, although the tour latest about 2 hours there was absolutely no problem navigating it. One of the most fun experiences was taking the bikes through the local marketplace--right through the marketplace. The streets we rode down were relatively quiet and we felt perfectly safe. Diego is a great guy AND guide and we enjoyed ourselves very much. I would definitely recommend this tour to others who want to try something different.

Really nice and relaxed bike ride, with lots of very interesting information on culture and history. We also stopped for some typical Mexican food. Definitely enjoyed it.
Thanks again Antonio!

Although we did not actually take the Mexico Bike Tour on our last visit to Mexico, I can attest that Antonio's care and consideration was on point! One of our friends had some difficulty riding a bike as it has been many years, and although four reservations were lost that day because we could leave without her, Antonio was very understanding, helpful, and considerate.

I have personally take the Mexico Bike Tour twice before and it was an amazing way to see such a beautiful city. Totally recommend!

Antonio and Valentino provided an awesome guided tour around the city getting to dip into Chapultapec Park, The Chocolate Museum, a rip through downtown, a kind of secret little quesadilla stand, a bit of discussion about city planning and envisioning the future of the metropolis. It was super fun. 4 hours on a Sunday couldn't be better spent in this magnificent city.

Great value! Our guide was a Mexico expert and gave us a great explanation about the city. The place we went for lunch was amazing too. Highly recommended to go on a Sunday because they close down the main streets for bikers.
