- grip652Collierville, Tennessee772 contributionsBeautiful scenery and boatingPaddling a boat on this man-made lake offers a panoramic view of the area. The park, outdoor market, Casa de Lago, and children's playground. It's very scenic and can be very crowded on weekends when it seems like all the residents of Mexico City come to enjoy the park.Written February 18, 2020

The path and walk of/around the lake is simply tranquil and beautiful with city views. There are locals and tourists with an ability to rent boats or just walk around the lake and take in the views.
Depending on one's preference of crowds, there is the option to arrive early in the morning or mid-day. There are shop vendors that set up their kiosk to sell the goods adjacent to the lake making food and beverages available.

This place looks like its out of a woody Allen movie! LOL. So charming, relaxing and beautiful! The have up-ed their game and invested in clean bathrooms, security and lots of restaurants and open style markets in this area. I love it! We always go when we are in Mexico City! VIVA MEXICO!

Mexico City is amazing! Or, el centro is, anyway, and this park is one of the reasons I think so. Right of Paseo de la Reforma, and yet picturesque and tranquil.

If you have 2-3 spare hours in CDMX I highly recomend you to go to Chapultepec Park and stroll around. Lake is perfect place to relax after busy business day.

Nice romantic place to rent some boat, but also gets very crowded on weekends. They have cinema events there sometimes, but you will have to get tickets in advance to get a place. Also have a look at caso del lago, a cultural hub from mexicos biggest university unam.

Part of a large park in the heart of Mexico City, with several museums, zoo, lakes, theater offerings and plenty of walking space, with nice gardens, and shady areas. Although really geared toward families with children, this park is a nice respite during the week, but full of people on the weekends.

This park is a nice respite from the surrounding bustle of the city, although certainly not the most beautiful park in D.F., it is incredibly expansive. Don't spend all of your time wrapped up in the paddle boats and vendors on the main walkways, as the park has many sections to explore. Wikipedia provides helpful insight on the attractions within, giving visitors the option to tailor their experience.

We hired a paddling boat for 2, for 60 pesos/hour. Reasonable price and very satisfying. It was enjoying even during the heat of midday (we went prepared with caps and light clothing). It’s recommended to not bring any big bags with you, because of not much of space on the boat to put them - 1 small to medium-sized backpack is ok.
