Small lake in the park
Feb 2020
A small lake in the Chapultepec park, with some boats and other things to do. There are plenty of benches around the lake as well, so it's great for a short break.

Beautiful scenery and boating
Jan 2020
Paddling a boat on this man-made lake offers a panoramic view of the area. The park, outdoor market, Casa de Lago, and children's playground. It's very scenic and can be very crowded on weekends when it seems like all the residents of Mexico City come to enjoy the park.

Pretty man made lake full of carnival spirit
Jan 2019 • Friends
People messing about in boats adds to the cacophony of summer vacation. The walk or circuit is well defined and offers unending opportunity to take terrific images. Didn’t have time to try canoeing as i had museums to cover in one day. loved my walk around the lake. plenty of shaded areas to take time out.

OLD TIME CHARM
Mar 2019 • Couples
This place looks like its out of a woody Allen movie! LOL. So charming, relaxing and beautiful! The have up-ed their game and invested in clean bathrooms, security and lots of restaurants and open style markets in this area. I love it! We always go when we are in Mexico City! VIVA MEXICO!

Row Row Row Your Boat
Mar 2019 • Couples
This small lake in the middle of Chapultepec obviously attracts rowers and peddlers (as in peddling your boat) of all ages: grandparents with kids, parents escaping kids, kids escaping parents and so forth. It's a happy place where you can rent several styles of boats and enjoy being on the water for an hour or so. Drift along. Row. Peddle. Whisper sweet nothings. Whisper nothing. Bring a ring and propose marriage. Whatever! It's magical.

Several lake activities like boating are available. Particularly liked by locals in the weekend and therefore very crowded but also very Mexican

Very nice experience
Jan 2019 • Couples
We hired a paddling boat for 2, for 60 pesos/hour. Reasonable price and very satisfying. It was enjoying even during the heat of midday (we went prepared with caps and light clothing). It’s recommended to not bring any big bags with you, because of not much of space on the boat to put them - 1 small to medium-sized backpack is ok.

Great active activity for a nice day!
Dec 2018 • Couples
The lake is beautiful in the middle of a spacious green park. The rowboats are very affordable (about $3-5 per hour depending on the # of people and type of boat you rent out). This is a great way to stay active and enjoy the beautiful scenery in Mexico city. It's close to a lot of food and attractions that make it worth the visit. The only con is the boats are older and quite difficult to navigate properly. It took us about 30-45 minutes to really work out how to properly direct the boat, and it seems a lot of other people were struggling to as well.
