This is a very traditional hotel of Mexico City. The Tiffany skylight in the lobby is the main attraction and you can stop by to see it. It's now very popular because it was featured in the James Bond Spectre movie.

My wife and I spent 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. The hotel lobby is splendid as is the upstairs terrace. Staff were friendly and breakfast was nice. Definitely recommend!

This is a gem in Mexico's downtown, yet almost unknown even for the locals. The stain glass dome is a must see and shoot, the elevators date from 2 centuries ago.

We did not stay at the Gran Hotel Cuidad de Mexico. We wandered in from the pedestrian walkway where it is located, attracted by a very large and stunning chandelier in the entrance. The doorman, a charming fellow, gave us a quick history of the hotel. First elevator in Mexico...this is totally worth seeing. The lobby is totally worth seeing,... More

The view of the Zocalo and its beautiful surrounding buildings including the Cathedral is absolutely breathtaking from the roof top restaurant La Terraza at the Grand Hotel. The foyer of the hotel is also a marvel of Art Deco at its very best. Food at the restaurant is good; the fish soups were very good and the main course chicken... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel in December 2015. We had a two room suite on the third floor that was very clean, spacious and well appointed. The service and accommodation were top notch!

This restaurant, located on the top floor of the old beautiful hotel has breathtaking view. The food is fantastic! Adan and Richardo give the best service. These guys are the best I have seen, and I have been to many great restaurants. They were very helpful with picking the plates. The margaritas are out of this world. The best part... More

Loved this hotel - you can't beat the view from the roof and the lobby is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Ive ever seen! Rooms are at a better price thru Book it - more expensive if you book in person. Older place but has all the charm. Even Tiffany stain glass ceiling. Take a camera !!! VIVA MEXICO !!!

We only got to stay here one night, but it was worth it! The lobby was amazing, with the stained glass and the birds chirping up a storm, and the ancient elevator. The room was comfortable...we were around the corner from the zocolo, so while we still had some views, it was a bit quieter...no trouble sleeping. The welcome champagne... More
