Nothing prepared me for the National Palace. Even though, from the outside, it's a massive and beautiful piece of architecture that takes up the entire east side of the zocalo, it's what's inside that is extraordinary. Massive, immense, colourful murals like I'd never seen before...More

Sad to say the Palacio was closed as a result of recent student demonstrations and firebombing of the entrance doors. Now closed to the public. From the outside looks like a very impressive building. I was hugely disappointed we could not see the inside.

This was my favorite museum. The special exhibit was fabulous and the Diego Rivera murals amazing. Set a meeting place. Too easy to get separated here! You'll need 3 hours at least.

We really enjoyed visiting the palace. The outside grounds once you are inside are awesome. The mural by Diego Rivera is great. So huge and so colorful and detailed. The room where the congress (?) meets is beautiful too. All worth a visit.

The murals of Diego Rivera at the National Palace are a masterpiece. A beautiful historic narrative in paintings on a grand scale for all to wonder at and enjoy the story they tell.

This was a beautiful attraction. The night after I heard this area was burned by riots and rally's. This was my first visit to Mexico City and really enjoyed seeing all the shops near this attraction. I took many pictures and the weather was pleasant...More

It is an imposing structure and marvels the White House. Cannot crash into this one easily. Being Mexico all such places are more dated than comparable ones in the States,

Stretched over a huge ground, this is one place that has so much history and importance in the whole culture of the city. On a personal front I thought nothing special about the architecture but the inside were a completely different story. The murals tell...More

We had an art major guide helped us see the Rivera murals in a way we could not have without her. We were amazed by the Palace cats that live in the grassy courtyard. They just sat in the sun ignoring the tourists.
