This was my first visit to Merida as airline crew on a layover. Fernando was our guide and provided interesting information on everything from history of the area to restaurant recommendations. He was pleasant, witty, knowledgeable, and it was heart warming to see a young person so proud to share his Country with people from all over the world. Perfect use of two hours and take in lunch right after!

I really enjoyed the free walking tour in Merida with Fernando. He was very knowledgeable of the area. He gave great food recommendations and gave us a lot of history of the city. I would strongly recommend attending this tour right when you arrive to Merida in order to get to know the city. Fernando recommended the Music Museum. We are English speaking and there was an English speaking guide at the Museum. It was a wonderful experience.

Merida Walking Tour - Fernando intuitively reads his audience and finds the exact balance allowing him to deliver excellence during this walking tour. His presentation appears light and simplistic but he manages to use this approach impart a lot of knowledge using his quirky manner keep his audience engaged. His tour is an excellent investment in your time if you wish

We booked the free walking tour in advance. Paid for an Uber to the meeting spot and no tour guide arrived. We called the number and was told the guide should be there soon. We waited another 20 minutes to call again and was told that they were not sure where our guide was. The lady we spoke to on the phone was lovely and tried to recommend another company we could book with to ensure we had a tour but we were unable to find one at the same location. We ended up finding one from a different location and walked there to the meeting point. We understand that things happen but it was very frustrating for us as we had only just arrived in Mexico City and have limited time/days to squeeze in what we need to do.

We enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide Joss was very patient and accommodating and went out of her way to help us find some food which we had been looking for. We also managed to catch a spectacular sunset and tried some local Mexican food (at own expense).

Fun facts, lots of info and Mayan traditions - after this tour you will see Merida with different eyes. Our tour guide Ivan gave us super interesting insights we would have never been aware of otherwise. We loved every minute and absolutely recommend to do this tour. There is a morning tour at 10am and an evening tour at 6pm - be sure to sign up!

Don't recommend to anyone! I made reservation for me and my family, when we got to the meeting place, they said that we have to go 15min to other place to find a english speaking guide, we went there in a hurry, found a guide that said, that no english tour will take place. AND after this they sent me an email saying - thanks for joining us! So - ABSOLUTELY don't care about people, they don't do reservations or even know who attended their tours. I am very very dissapointed, it is quite outrageous.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with the tour. It sounds like there was a miscommunication or a mistake, which resulted in a frustrating situation for you and your family. It's understandable that you feel disappointed and upset about the lack of organization and care from the tour company. Please be sure that if this was the case maybe our guide had an incident and was not able to join the tour, we will take care of this situation so that it never ocurres again

I booked the English tour in advance since I don't speak Spanish (much as I would like to!). I showed up, the guide was late, but then once she and most of the folks got there, I was told by the guide that I am the only English speaker in the group. She said that if I really wanted to she can take me with her, but it'll be quite the inconvenience explaining everything twice, and that it'll be much easier if I go to the Cathedral and try to find another tour.

This was quite awkward, and it didn't seem like much of a choice -- I either stick around and be the one annoying English speaker for the group, or I leave for everyone's sake and then have my morning activity be shot. I left to look for another group :( I can't comment on the quality of the tour, but the organization and how logistics are handled was poor.

We book this weeks ago, because we only have 24 hours in Mexico City. I actually have texted with them the day before the tour, confirming. When we arrive, the meeting point has changed even though i haven’t had any info about it - but the worst is, they cancelled us at the meeting point. The spanish group was larger and therefore there was no tour in English. Very unprofessional… so now we dont have a walking tour in mexico city, and we cant have any other. Cancelled is one thing, scheduling maybe didnt meet up or whatever - but we wasnt informed before the actual time and day. Which robbed us for a guided citytour, because every tour starts at 10. Do not recommend.

Dear traveler, we are very sorry about that experience with your Free Tour, usually we send both guides the Spanish one and the English one at the same time but in occasion if there is an incident with your guide on the way to the meeting point it is hard to find a replacement in such a short time
