This lies in a forgotten, unassuming part of the city and it was only because a friend of mine stayed there that I found out about it. An unassuming neighbourhood well worth exploring, with an amazing Moorish-style kiosk/bandstand in the middle. There's a small street market a few blocks south. To see a part of Mexico City off the beaten part, well worth exploring.

This is a very pleasant park to pass a bit of time. The Mudejar (Moorish) "kiosko" is an outstanding and interesting piece of architecture, and the surrounding gardens are nice as well. I visited here when I came to see the nearby UNAM mineral museum, that was unfortunately shut without explanation.
A word of caution - according to my taxi driver, the surrounding suburb is not one of the safest (but still much safer than Tepito, for instance). Walking here from the downtown is not recommended, particularly after dark.

We were told to take a look see at this wonderful place. What a super cute park, with lots of locals dancing: one area for the older couples and one for the young adults.

Definite must on a weekend.

Another amazing urban park in CDMX. Beautiful, gigantic gazebo in the center of the park. Dog walking, dancing, people watching, it's all here. Fantastic break spot after the geology museum. Beautiful green space. And, be sure to check out Candy Pop cafe and candy store on the south side of the park.

We visited this park by coincidence because we were walking around, relaxing with plenty of spaces to sit and watch people walking the dogs, children playing or simply sit and see like goby, clean park also.

The park has a lot of charm and is still very local. There are also a few popular eating options around. Excellent for spending an afternoon.
