About Mexico University. Fun and Learning Experiences
Founded in 1998, we are a group of local enterpreneurs who thrive to show the world the unique and vast history of Mexico City, from the city's founding by the Aztecs in 1325, through the times of the Spanish Inquisition, to modern times; not in a scientific way but in one that we expect may be fun for you. We invite you to take this opportunity to meet other foreigners, nationals and locals that may join our tours, including the city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and The New York Times' #1 place of 52 Places to Go in 2016.

The tour guide is very friendly and very knowledgeable and informative. Open to any and all questions. As a member of the LGBT community it is empowering to know our history. I left the tour more educated. Thanks Carlos

The Gay Side of Mexican History walking tour was excellent. A great tour of the historic centre, plus loads of interesting facts about the history of the United States of Mexico--all from a gay perspective and the place of GLBT people in Mexico throughout time. Highly recommended.

Review for Jewish History Walking Tour Dec. ‘21 Carlos is a gem and such a smooth guide to listen to following around at the perfect pace! His warming presence was exactly what we were hoping for. Carlos’ nickname should be “The Contextualizer” - he brought great background and depth highlighting 500 years of Jewish history on that very same soil. It was especially significant being at the sites in Centro Historico and seeing the buildings that directly reflect systemized persecution, then later the blossoming of Jewish life in Plaza Loreto at the turn of the 20th century. Learning of his firsthand ties to the historic land of Plaza Mayor and the founding of Mexico make Carlos’ context on the walk truly remarkable. Can’t wait to have friends use Carlos for touring on their future trip!

Carlos is extremely knowledgeable and has a great way of explaining and connecting things. We felt that the tour gave us insights into the gay history of Mexico City as well as the overall general history. We highly recommend this tour.
