This is a small museum but gives you a great example of what happened here during that century and what the people here have endured. The staff was very friendly and I recommend you go if you have the opportunity.

We enjoyed the maps and artifacts that show the history of Guanajuato. There are newspapers, portraits, and various slightly stuffy but interesting items.

As with most museums in Guanajuato, English translations are not provided, so in order to get much out of a visit to this museum, an ability to read some Spanish is useful. The museum itself provides a good overview of the history of the area...More
