Excellent place to visit. you will find the King of Kings on this place and if you are blessed as I was during my visit you will have the opportunity to be blessed with a mass in the sanctuary.

I recommend you go in the morning. It gets chilly at night. And it’s scary coming down the mountain! It’s free.! It’s such an amazing view from the top. Everything is amazing. They have food courts. Only thing I won’t give it a 5 is...More

Hadn't a clue that a special pilgrimage with 6,000 attendees would be there the weekend I had decided to go. The bus driver didn't know either. We got dropped off 2.5 kilometers from the parking of Cristo Rey as the traffic was jammed packed with...More

We visited on quite a dull cloudy day with a bit of drizzly rain so the drive up did not afford us the spectacular views that are available on a clearer day, however the trip was still worthwhile. The route passes by some old silver...More

I visited this Cristo on a tour, where I was the only gringo. It was interesting to see that Mexicans are forced into eating at the same touristy restaurants as are foreign tourists. The statue itself is impressive, if not particularly lovely. It was really...More

The statue is on top of a small chapel on top of a mountain. The artistry is not special, and there is no profound sense of spirituality. The main reason to go is that everyone goes. That is reason enough.

We visited your beautiful church on September 25th, 2017. In your museum room I noticed a little white and black dog licking his or her leg and was laying next to the status of the big dog, I think for protection and comfort that little dog came to your church to be protected by Jesús. After we left I wanted to get some food and water for the poor little dog only to hear from someone that the dog can’t move as he has a broken leg. I have tried calling and have left 6 messages for your office and my girlfriend even spoke to someone at your church but was given a disconnected number that doesn’t work. I am willing pay to rescue that dog if you are willing to take him to the vet (doctor) to fix his leg. It was so powerful to see a little dog coming for help to Jesús. I will pay for this dogs surgery, food and water for as long as someone adopts him. Please call me back at 619.572.7700. This animal is in severe pain. I was helpless and didn’t know what to do, Please let us save this poor dog. He feels pain. We can help. Sincerely, Ramon Pourtrymour

Take a Taxi. It is a long walk and very steep. Taxies in Guanajuato are not expensive and decent.
