It’s rated as one of the top things to visit in the city and it’s not a great place to go. Many, many mommies explained by a natural desecrating process but the rest is not acceptable. Exposing dead naked human beings is not something that...More

I have been a number of times over the years. Unfortunately, the tour hasn't changed much, and the prices seem to get higher - now 85 pesos per person, and that doesn't include the guide. We went on the weekend, and we were fortunate to...More

It is truly a great museum especially if you can get over the creepy looking mummies. We learned these mummies we not mummified by humans like in Egypt or Peru but by the minerals in the water in the ground A must see

Save your money. Completely exploitative and mostly context-free display of people whose families couldn’t pay the graveyard tax or were otherwise unfortunate to end up in a mass grave.

I rather like to walk around the city and visit the museums than going to this one. To many things to do in Guanajuato, Momias will be a 35 mins spend and consider 15 drive from city center.

If you haven’t done this, it is a must. They allow pictures. This is the only place where the natural elements cause mummification.

It was a very pleasant visit in the company of my friends from the school, to start the city of Guanajuato is very beautiful, its streets, its buildings, its customs and traditions. All the people we met on the street greeted us, all are cheerful...More

Well- maintained; takes 1 hour maximum to see everything. Well worth the $5 taxi from Plaza of Peace/Basilica area of town. Little bit tricky finding a cab bag to the center of town, though.

i didn't feel like seeing dead people, and I was already hesitant but I had nothing better to do. I also don't feel like it is right for them to be making money off of dead people when they or their family never gave approval....More

Yes, nut not very big. I highly recommend taking a tour or a cab and ask the driver to wait for you. The streets are so narrow, it is so difficult to drive there!
