A really fun slice of Jalisco culture.

Every Sunday this venue puts on a ~3 hour rodeo starting at noon. It's fairly compact so you sit very close to the action and only 50 pesos. Tons of cute kids in their rodeo duds in the audience adds to the charm.. They serve tiny beers, tequila, and snacks (chips, pork rinds, and popcorn...all drenched in salsa and limon) You will see lots of roped bulls, wild stallions, and even little girls doing horseback riding formations. We really enjoyed it. Bring or rent a cushion to soften the concrete seating.

A very different rodeo

This rodeo had some of the most unusual events that I have seen. I have to wonder how much Tequila those guys had to drink before that thought up pulling on a bulls tail and tipping it over with your leg while running on their horse. Crazy. The final event is the best. The cowboy rides in with 2 other riders. They work a wild horse in the middle and the first rider jumps from his horse being ridden bareback onto the wild horse. If he misses the other 2 horses could run over him. It is nuts!

excellent entertainment on a sunday amazing experience will go again girlfriend thought a bit cruel on the animals but then again she likes full combat kickboxing thought in the middle with great skills shown off and relatively safe for the animals one of the cowboys did fall off did laugh and cheer a bit apparenty not the done thing !
