The Rio Caliente is a beautiful and relaxing place to visit. All natural, clean, flowing hot spring river! You can pick whatever temperature you want by moving closer or farther from the boiling hot tributaries that enter the river. But be careful of the "hot spots" around these tribs!

Guadalajara, Mexico's second-largest city happens to be situated right next to a beautiful pine and oak forest covering more than 36,000 hectares (139 square miles). For as long as anyone can remember, el Bosque de la Primavera has been referred to as "Guadalajara's lungs" and in 1980, when big-time development plans threatened the woods, the entire forest — whether publicly... Im used to Monterrey mountains, so expectations on sights, flora and fauna were somehow high so I will focus on the nice MTB trails. Go there! Many competitions had being celebrated there mainly at "Pista el Madroño" but my favorite trail was "la canica". No regrets.

I spent the day together with a friend and we were rather disappointed. There is only one route you can follow to the rio caliente and the same way back. However, the thermal river was really nice! If you have time then visit it but in my opinion it's not a "must see".

My daughter and son-in-law were our gracious tour guides when we visited the Rio Caliente in el Bosque de La Primavera. The walk to the river was lovely, although it was a very hot day. It's hard to imagine how a river could be as warm as it was; but we revelled in feel of the mud beneath our toes... More

An amazingly large park in this massive city with lots of nature, hikers and bicyclists. I feel confident it is a safe park but would like to see more security services and better parking

We took a local bus to La Primavera, and while I didn't mind the hike, we didn't have time to make it to the thermal water and back before closing. Or, planning to camp out there over night is another option. The 4 stars is only based on what we had a chance to see. I would have gone for... More

Nice place to spend the afternoon. If you are visiting Guadalajara for an extended period of time then you will probably want to break away from the congestion for a while. Primavera is an easy 45 minute local bus ride (#729) out of the city. It is a great place to take in some clean, fresh air while hiking through... More
