This is a truly gorgeous spot so close to GDL. Beautiful trails, vistas, at the entrance there are picnic tables and you can even check out some hot springs. It’s a wonderful place for an outdoor weekend.

My previous review of this area was an overview of the Primavera Forest. Here, I will concentrate entirely on Río Caliente, probably the most popular outdoor site in the entire state of Jalisco. The Hot River is born deep inside a narrow canyon where it...More

This forest is pretty from Afar, but it's definitely not a place for tourists. Difficult to access, and Underwhelming when you arrive at your destination. The Rio Caliente was a hot river, but the road to get there will destroy the average car. And once...More

It is a pretty national park with hot springs, a hot lake and mountains. Good place to hike. Bring food and water there's no place to buy it. Lots of Mexicans come to picnic and swim.

We loved this day trip from Guad. The forest is beautiful and the hot spring river is amazing. Yes, it's rustic but that is what I like about it. I hope we can return. Our kids loved it and I did too!
