It is close to the University of Guadalajara which was interesting, an easy walk from our hotel. We weren't there during the times that the apostles make their appearance with the clock, but the trip was still work it.

This church took about a century to complete and was amazingly kept on track with following the blueprints! Our guide, Ilse Hoffmann gave us a lot of information all over the city that made everything we saw even more interesting. I believe she said that of all the churches in Guadalajara and surrounding areas that it was one of 2... More

This is a must see church in Guadalajara as it is actually all one style of architecture. It looks like europe, in the summer, not December as when we were here!

The Expiatorio is located 15 blocks west of, and 5 blocks south of centro historico in Guadalajara. My wife and I walked there from Plaza de la Libertad, it took us about a half hour because we stopped to browse in shops along the way, which I highly recommend. One suggestion if you do this: walk west on Avenida Juarez... More

The Expiatorio is just lovely, with its spire reaching for the sky. From the inside of the church you see the stained glass going all the way to the top of the spire-quite a sight. Lots of quinceneras are celebrated there, and the plaza out front has a nice cafe to have a coffee or beer while you watch all... More

I liked it, but it scared the kids!It is a gothic building that they were convinced was from a horror movie!

The Expiatory Temple is an amazing gothic building in downtown Guadalajara. If you see it from the outside it looks impressive. Inside the building it can be seen more gothic aspects. The tall columns and the stained glass makes it look big. It is very peaceful to sit there.

It is a Beautiful temple with a peaceful silent environment. You can just stand there for a long time, just admiring all aspects of the temple, taking a look at every details, the beautiful vitral's refraction on the temple's walls. It worhts the visit and to spend some time with yourself.
