The Expiatory Temple is such a feast for the eyes! It is an amazing piece of Gothic Architecture which stands proudly in Guadalajara. The stained glass windows and the architecture take your breath away! This Church is often confused with the Cathedral, which is located in the Historical District.

El Expiatorio is constantly confused with the cathedral due to its size and imposing design. It has a parking lot underneath it which makes access really easy. If you go on any weekend you will see a weekend since it is usually booked all year.

Beautiful temple to visit. Awesome architecture! Very impressive church! Gorgeous stained glass windows. We visited it on a Saturday and there was a small wedding in progress. Definitely a must see if you are in town!

Absolutely beautiful and stunning temple. Not much to do around the area but it's worth coming here. You can be here and take some great pictures for about an hour tops.

By far one of the most impressive church I saw. If you are an archi lover, it's a must. Just beside Guadalajara University it's an easy walk from the historic center.

This simple church is made of limestone and some very nice stained glass work. We didn´t attend service here but it looks far better than the cathedral, the feeling of silence and spirituality is great, it is a 15 minute walk from the main plaza or a 5 minute taxi ride

The Sunday was the perfect day to visit. I love the stained glass all around the building. There was also amazing local gifts and presents to take home and good snacks too. It's very nice to visit.
