The church is beautiful on the outside and the inside. As I was walking around the church to the front end I thought I was in Spain or Portugal. On the inside it actually is smaller than the extremely large churches on the Iberian peninsula. But the church is still very beautiful and worth a visit. It is located next... More

If you come visit, come here on Sunday. The plaza in front of the church gets full with street vendors (vouched by the state of Jalisco) and you will find the most delicious and authentic food from the whole region. The food fair lasts all day, and everything is very clean and hygienic. The church is open all day, it... More

We didn't spend a lot of time here but it is beautiful and worth checking out. It's also part of the stops for Tapatio Tour busses.

The Expiatory Temple is such a feast for the eyes! It is an amazing piece of Gothic Architecture which stands proudly in Guadalajara. The stained glass windows and the architecture take your breath away! This Church is often confused with the Cathedral, which is located in the Historical District.

El Expiatorio is constantly confused with the cathedral due to its size and imposing design. It has a parking lot underneath it which makes access really easy. If you go on any weekend you will see a weekend since it is usually booked all year.

Beautiful temple to visit. Awesome architecture! Very impressive church! Gorgeous stained glass windows. We visited it on a Saturday and there was a small wedding in progress. Definitely a must see if you are in town!

Thank Aztlan
