You must visit this cathedral. To see it up close you are left overwhelmed by just the size itself. I also had the chance to attend a mass at a nearby church on Morelos avenue just a few blocks up where children (think from a nearby catholic school)were attending. I think it is one of the nicest masses I have... More

Part of the central spanish square of Guadalajara, this large format square is beautiful in character and architecture.

If you're in Guadalajara, it's unlikely that you'll miss the cathedral. It's visually stunning from the outside and original in its design. I've seen a lot of cathedrals and churches since being in Mexico and it's refreshing to see something a little different. It's also beautiful on the inside so make sure to go in. Unfortunately, the area in front... More

The church is very beautiful on the outside and the inside. It looks huge on the outside. Once inside, I expected it to be bigger. I guess I am just used to seeing the churches on the Iberian peninsula. Nonetheless, it is still worth the visit to this historic church.

Truly a majestic place to visit. A must see if visiting Guadalajara. The architecture is amazing & the inside is basking in beauty. Gorgeous statues throughout. Can't wait till my next visit just to come here again.

You will see how mexicans visit and pray, while it offers historical details about Spanish colonists' arrival in the area.

What a beautiful place this is! Whether you are Catholic or not, you can appreciate the marvelous architecture from yesteryear. This church is well maintained by the faithful, with so many fresh flowers! A feast for your eyes and soul!

Just like cathedral in Mexico City, Guadalajara cathedral is also large in size and still active in use. Inside the cathedral is kept clean and well maintained. When we visited, the outer is still being renovated, but it's still marvelous church.
