Only visit if you have time

I was very underwhelmed by my visit to the park. It is not that well maintained and the squirrels are way too comfortable around humans (will pester you for food).

Nice, just not great
Feb 2020
It was our first visit to Guadalajara. We were in town for 4 days and based on other reviews, loving to walk, enjoying nice parks we took one of our mornings to visit here. If you in town longer and/or are staying near the park its a good option. If you not close to it, Have limited days to see the city and it many interesting places, you might want to consider something different. It's not bad, it just ok. The Japanese garden section is nice just not quite as nice as the photos you see.

Leisurely stroll in a Beautiful lush environment
Dec 2019
After my hip replacement it felt good to get out and about, seeing this oasis in the middle of a metropolis was nice. The locals come to run or jog the beautiful paths in the morning. Sight seers can enjoy the art school, Japanese garden, fountains just a beautiful place to see.

Amazing
Sep 2019 • Couples
It’s a small forest not so small just in the middle of the city so it’s peaceful and quite as you imagine
It’s clean and there are lots of birds and squirrels around, you feel like sleepy beauty, you just pay for parking if you are driving.

It’s a nice place to go if weather not too hot and if you want and do some exercises and walk away from traffic and if you are staying close by.... otherwise nothing special....

A beautiful and peaceful area
Oct 2019
It's an easy journey from the Centro Histórico to this great forest park. Walk on numerous marked trails, jog, horseback ride, view deep green trees, birdwatch and relax in the Japanese garden with a koi pond. Bring your own picnic or buy fresh hot food, snacks and drinks from the vendors near the entrance. There is a cultural center on site.

Family friendly and beautiful park!
Oct 2019
We only made a quick stop on a long weekend, but we very much enjoyed this park. It is a big park with tons of trails, trees, shade, and family friendly activities close to at least one entrance. The Japanese Garden was a cool and quiet stop, and we loved the eucalyptus area. There were so many locals exercising, playing with family, and just enjoying nature on a Sunday; that made us feel it was a special place. If you have the time and want a nice piece of urban park, stop here!
