Beautiful roundabout

Powerful misting fountains surround this statue. This interesting attraction is in a busy roundabout. Watch your rear view mirrors as you admire the beauty or you will crash.

This is another of Guadalajaras famous monuments. There really isnt a nice place to get a picture because its in a traffic circle. Snap the photo on the fly as you drive around

This is a beautiful glorieta (when the traffic isn't bad) and adds a little history as this area used to be the "entrance" to the city when it was much smaller so, so many years ago.

Minerva is the Roman goddess of wisdom. As far as what I've searched, there is no special story in the creation of this statue, compared to other sculptors in many famous cities. Thus, I'd like to recommend to visit and see it only for the people whose hotel is nearby. There is a cafe around the Minerva, called 'cafebarracafe' with... More

Minerva means a lot to this city. Originally they dod not like or approve of the depiction of her, but have grown to see her as representing the city. You don't visit Minerva - you drive around her in a traffic circle. Sometimes the road is closed for important events. I heard that if there is a major topic for... More

Great to ride by or stroll by on Sundays. On the westside of the city, it's where the via recreativa ends. Most days it's an island surrounded by shark infested waters -- that its, unrelenting traffic makes it impossible to enjoy from a pedestrian's point of view. But on that one day of the week, Sunday until 2:00 pm., this... More

There's nothing much to recommend about Minerva. The neighbourhood is great but the actual monument is difficult to see or access because of the constant roaring traffic that surrounds it.

This is a statue in the middle of a round about. You can see it at a distance but the opportunity to get up close is not there. The fountain around it is impressive when it is running, but seems to be switched off sometimes. It is a very busy path for cars so you will have the constant traffic... More

You can visit this beautiful statue if you buy a ticket at the Plaza (Downtown) in a Tapatio Tours. Take you to Guadalajara Downtown
