A handsome historic one-time private home which now finds itself on a very busy city street -- but once inside you're in another world. The chronicle of journalism and broadcasting in Guadalajara on the first floor is definitely edifying, and there are pleasant views from the upstairs galleries -- where temporary exhibits are worth seeing. It is a good place to spend some time, learn about the history of news in Mexico. Great old building done in the neoclasical style. Ask around about the dogs on the roof. I wsa told about a ghost story about them by a relative, not sure if he was just messing with me, but worth it to ask around.

Very close to the Santuario and the cathedral. I wandered in there one day when I was waiting on some paperwork at the nearby federal paperwork factory. Not that big of a deal, but if you're in the area with time to kill, it wouldn't be a complete waste.
