This cute little town is bustling with tourists and activity. It is a short drive from Guadalajara city. We were only there for a a couple of hours and then off to Ajijic. I plan to return to both places. Both cool, quaint and artsy.

Small park, but great on Sunday when numerous artists sell their wares (manly paintings, but some baskets and figurines as well). Speaking with a local food vendor it appears as though the peak activity is Sunday between noon and 3pm. Google mentioned opening at 10am,...More

Chapala is a place to relax and walk around and enjoy the day. Just go to a bench and soak up the surroundings.

Great for a saturday morning activity. Find a good restaurant nearby (plenty of options) for brunch, and then walk around and view the art on display at the park.

Glorieta Chapalita is a nice little glorieta, or round about, as one enters Chapalita. You will find several nearby restaurants that vary from casual to a little more formal. Delicious meals. In the park at the Glorieta you can find on Sundays and sometimes other...More
