A most beautiful place that celebrates the artistic life and creations of a modern master. My family and I visited 3 times during our 6 day stay in Tlaquepaque. On one of those visits, we sat in on a large and comfortable sofa overlooking a small but magical garden setting displaying Bustamante's art surrounding a water fountain. Simply marvelous!

Sergio Bustamante is one of the most popular artists of Mexico. Just a stroll down The Malecon in Puerto Vallarta or the Andador in Tlaquepaque, you will find the works of Bustamante and see the interaction he creates with the audience. Mostly comprised of sculptures and silver jewelry, his galleries are creative, inspiring and unique. The Guadalajara location is much more extensive than Puerto Vallarta. There is a labyrinth of rooms featuring different themes. There is even a beautiful serene fountain garden visible to the gallery. Much like the art of Carlos Albert, his work makes you smile. Suns, moons and variations of them come to life when you see them. The sculptures are mostly bronze and jewelry is sterling silver. Now, along with solid sterling silver, he offers silver plated jewelry at a lower price point.
We hope to feature the work of Sergio Bustamante in our Atlanta Ga gallery in the future.

We have been buying jewelry and artwork at the various SB stores throughout Mexico. This is my third time to Puerto Vallarta store. It's at the top of my list to visit and make a purchase. The first time we stopped the door was open, but the girl running the place said they were closed (it was only 6:45 pm). She was busy juggling an infant and ignoring us. I said we are visiting and can I run through and see the items. Some other people came in and she said ok. But felt rushed and she would not offer to help. Very rude. Decided to go all the way back into town our last night and she was not helpful, didn't seem interested in being there or knowledgeable about anything. In the past, we have gotten small discounts for being frequent visitors. No discounts from her---and she never even seemed sure of prices and kept double checking. They need someone of a better caliber to run the place or they will be losing business. I wound up buying just one ring, and my friend bought earrings...but we were not having good experience. There was a baby bottle on the desk. She never offered for us to sit down while she processed our bills. Don't go here if you don't need to--- and wait until you get to one of the other Mexican locations to do your shopping.

We've seen Bustamante's work on the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta for a number of years but this visit to his main gallery presented a great retrospective collection to public view. This is a major destination if you're having an art experience. You won't be disappointed.

Sergio Bustamonte must be the most famous Mexican Artist. His work covers a variety of mediums. Copper is very interesting. My favorite are the people with triangular heads and faces. Very whimsical imagination and always puts a smile on my face, when we are walking around. It is on the main street in Tlaquepaque. Don't miss this one.

Apart from Mexico's overall superior cultural creativity, Sergio Bustamant represents Best in Kind! His Galleria in Guadalajara includes a wonderful sculpture garden, original architectural features, and spectacular jewelry. Single silver pieces of the highest quality are available, and surrounded also by amazing colorful pieces as well. My favorites are the silver pieces, each a sctulpture to be individually worn. Nothing compares to the feeling of wearing a beautiful pieces of art!

Wonderful show attended by Sergio Bustamante and many of his friends and customers. Show was held on Dec 15th in the evening and quite successful. Video camera crews recorded much of the event and interviewed the artist.

When we booked two full days in Tlaquepaque, I expected a gallery scene similar to Carmel or Scottsdale. Contributors to Tripadvisor rave about Avenida Independencia. Much to my chagrin, there were indeed many shops, but I would call pathetically few of these "galleries". These shops peddle ceramics and textiles, few created by original artists, most are machine-made.

Happily, there was one standout exception. The Fundacion Sergio Bustamante is a large tranquil space displaying the work of the nominative artist. On the western end of Independencia, this gallery displays a variety of Bustamante's work. In addition to the sculpture, there are a variety of other objects to which the artist applies his name and offers for sale: handbags, jewelry and nicknacks.

Bustamante has a characteristic style, abstract, usually triangular figures from which (as if protruding from behind the material) is a human face. These faces are frequently thoughtful. And the art is thought provoking. Within the bounds of the gallery are two gardens boasting Bustamante fountains, water drizzling from between those thoughtful lips.

This was the only gallery of such caliber that I was able to find in Tlaqupaque. And this includes the so called museums. If yu find yurself in Tlaquepaque, enjoy the atmosphere and the food, but for heaven's sake, do not miss the Gallery Sergio Bustamante.

Truly unique art of Sergio Bustamante. If I could have only one thing, it would be the main fountain in this lovely gallery. Beautiful jewelry all done with the signature and style of this unique and great artist.
