IXX century graveyard

Very well mantained 19th century graveyard, it is an example of that period graveyards, today is not in use.

Our local friends took us to do the night tour of the Pantheon. It costs $68 pesos. The cemetery is beautiful and it has a very interesting Masonic history. There are also some cool myths and legends about the place. Unfortunately you can't take photos on the night tour and our guide was quite strict. It was in Spanish and... More

Consider it you speak Spanish or have someone to translate for you. So much history and legends. The tour was nearly 2h and NO photos allowed.

We took the tour at night to add a little extra spookiness to our visit but now wish we had taken the day tour instead. Our guide was excellent at relaying the stories but like other reviewers mention the tour is only available in Spanish. This was a bummer since we had an English only speaking guest with us, we... Is very interesting to walk at night in the cemetery with a group of people hearing stories about what happened there. The sculptures are just fascinating.

DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS TO FIND THE CEMETERY. I just left Guadalajara today and am currently on my way home. Two days ago I decided to walk to the cemetery (maps told me it was a 2 hour walk but I was up for that). Everything was fine until I got really close to the destination and then nothing... More

This could have been a cool place to visit, but you have to take part in a tour to see the cemetery, you can't just wander. The tours are only in Spanish, so if you are an English speaker it can be quite boring. The tours are an hour long and start at the hour. The hours are a little... More

intersting cementary to visit, of course it's not active, very old, but with interesting stories, access is cheap, just be very careful where you step the center is rocky

Seemed like a good idea for a group of people. I wish I would have done the night tour as it may have added a little extra. I don't really enjoy guided tours with large groups and this was no exception. Still interesting to visit.

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, my family planned a ghost tour at Belen for a night of our visit. We were disappointed to discover that they had fired their only English speaking employee on staff. Everyone in my family can speak and understand Spanish, so we thought it would be fine, we would just do the tour in Spanish.... More
