The island was a great place to visit, which is the primary focus of my review. Upon the approach by water, the giant stature at the central part of the island would be very difficult to miss. The interesting thing I noted were the fishermen...More

The lake itself is not that impressive but it is nice with a few islands in the middle. What it is wonderful is a drive around the lake with dozen of beautiful and unspoiled villages with antique churches and building, non touristic markets and lovely...More

This area is wonderful. I wish the lake were swimmable - apparently it's very polluted and although locals eat the fish from here and are seen fishing, it's not recommended you eat that fish! There are many towns located around the lake, and it's totally...More

After seeing the lake, I turned around and went back to my hostel. It's nothing spectacular. It's a lake. Not even that great of a lake. I'd skip it.
