What a great time! My family and I learned to make red and green salsa, enchiladas, chilaquiles, and tortilla soup. All very delicious! Monica was fun, informative and willing to share a few of her grandmothers cooking secrets. I highly recommend this outing!

Maria and her recipes are the best. I took three different classes with her while I was in town and have already made a number of the dishes when I got home. Authentic, delicious, and easy to learn. Don't miss this.

This was an informative and enjoyable hands on class. I loved that we learned not only how to prepare the poblano peppers but the history of the dish.It was all very 'hands on' from roasting the peppers to stuffing and frying, and of course we got to eat. I left with a new appreciation for the food and a detailed... More

2nd time at Patio Mexica cooking School and I am surprised again how fun it is. You meet new people, laugh at Monica's fond memories of her Grandmother. We even have lunch on what we have prepared. Can't wait to get home and make Chilaquiles for my family. What I love the most is the authentic methods learned. Thank you... More

This is our 2nd year taking Monica's class. Last year we learned chiles rellenos and I have made the chiles en nogada twice at home. This year we learned chilaquiles and tortilla soup. I will definitely be making these at home for our friends. The class is hands on and the best part is you get to eat what is... More

My husband and I took this class and it was amazing. Monica is the best! She will teach you real authentic Mexican cooking and tradition. Our menu for the day was Red and Green sauce to be used with Chilaquiles, enchiladas, tacos, etc. We also learned how to make Chilaquiles, and two types of Tortilla soup. Everything was tasty. She... My husband and I took the fish cooking class on Feb. 22 which included a trip to the market to purchase the fish. Monica is a really great teacher and host! As we walked from her house to the farmer's market, she stopped along the way at several shops and and other points of interest, to educate us about various... More

About twenty of us watched and participated as Monica showed us how to make Molle. We crushed nuts and peppers and learned about the chocolate to add. She had already prepared chicken and rice, so we concluded with a delicious meal that included a special fruit drink. All of it was held outdoors in her back yard off of Adelitas... More
