We used Julio's tours for (small fish) fishing, snorkeling, las gatas beach one day and the sunset cruise another. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend. Kids (teens) were happy with their catches.....we even saw a whale!! The sunset cruise was beautiful, fresh and relaxing!! Julios crew were very nice, on time, and great company!!…

Had an amazing experience on Julio's tours, caught an 8ft sailfish. The captain was very helpful and had a plan and put in a LOT of effort to help us catch a fish. The captain had a plan, and wasn't just boating around randomly. The boat is very humble, but works great and has shade. Make sure to bring some extra water as there are only 2 bottles that are provided. Also make sure to bring sunscreen as it gets extra hot out there. Only complaint would be if you want to learn a little bit about what the captain is doing, you'll need to ask him to allow you to help. He largely does everything, from the bait, tackle, casting, fishing, etc. The only time you participate is when he has a fish on the line. This is probably normally how it goes, but for me, I would have preferred to be a bit more involved in the actual fishing part. Otherwise, this is absolutely recommended and will definitely come back again.…

We booked online the combo fishing and snorkeling trip for inshore fishing and snorkeling at playa Manzanillo. $225 for the trip, deposit via PayPal to Carol of $100 and able to make final payment also via PayPal to Carol day of trip from my phone. Be sure to let captain know at end of trip regarding payment and they will call and verify. Met Julio at statue at end of pier right at 8am, we got sandwiches from ladies selling in front of the little store on the corner in front of the pier, and got drinks (no glass) in the store. Julio got ice and walked us over to the temp dock( pier is not finished yet) and waved the boat “Jocelyn” over. Introduced us to captain Enrique and asst Jorge and helped us climb aboard. Fantastic trip! Caught 2 Bonitos, fished by the lighthouse rock, playa Larga, and the Morel rocks. Saw a huge pod of dolphins that swarmed all around us! After snorkeling they took us to Las Gatas Otilia’s restaurant onLas Gatas beach (Julio’s mom owns ir) where they cooked up one of our fish for us to eat (50 pesos per person) and served w veggies, rice and tortillas. We also ordered more food & drinks (separate cost) and lounged for a couple hours. When ready, they brought the boat back right up to shore to load us up and dropped us back off at the temp dock, was around 4.30pm We tipped captain 1000 pesos (20%) & asst 500 pesos (10%) for doing such a great job. Wonderful trip! We will probably try offshore fishing next time! :)…

Captain and crew very knowledgeable and had a plan. Very attentive to me and watching the ocean for fish. And there were plenty of fish and lots of action which is exactly what I had requested when I booked the trip. The Dorado leap completely out of water when it took lure will definitely be etched in my mind forever. I’ll be back.…
