A gem!

This was a nice stop as we explored the area. The signs are in Spanish, but download the google translate app so that you can take a picture of the texts and have it translated real-time.

Terrific local museum
Feb 2020
We have walked by here many times without going in. So happy we now have. A very friendly, knowledgeable staff person took the small entry fee and then explained a lot of the museum to us. We were also given a sheet of information in English. Very informative and great to have this local museum.

Visit!

This is not a huge museum, but they have created a beautiful display area that tells the story of the area. Wonderful artifacts! The only suggestion I have is to make the signs in English as well as Spanish, so English-speaking visitors can appreciate the wonderful history of the region.

Nice little six room museum right on the beach. Only costs ten pesos, which must be the best bargain in Mexico. Some interesting stuff and a hand out with informative English translation make this a worthwhile place to visit.

A very nice little museum. Only costs ten pesos, which must be the best bargain in Mexico. Six small rooms hold some interesting material found locally. In Spanish, but you get an English translation to read, which is informative and well done. Well worth a visit.

Walk slowly and read the handout

English speaking visitors must take the time to read the complimentary guide in English as they walk through the museum. All descriptions are in Spanish on the walls.

This little museum had history of the area with pictures and artifacts, a guide in English was provided to read about the displays. Only cost 10 pesos per person. Well worth the 1/2 hour

Museum of the local people

the entry fee is only 10 pesos per person, so definitely a small price to learn about the native culture. Most of the info is in Spanish, of course. You are given a small informaiton placard in english to help you understand what the displays are about. We had been to the archeological dig site and had already learned most of what was on display.

Located near the beach in downtown Zihuatanejo. It is a small museum with six small rooms with a limited number of items in each. All descriptions are in Spanish but they will give you an English handout to follow. Entry fee is only 10 pesos. This place is of interest to people who have strong interest in archeological finds. But not for people with only a casual interest
