We visited in May-June so off season and the beach is fairly empty. We recommend King Fish Restaurant's coconut shrimp. The best we've tried anywhere and clearly surpasses a similar well known dish in another Zihua restaurant! Can't wait to eat them again!

Went for one day to Barra de Potosi and walked along the beach. We were the only people on it! Absolutely incredible! Sand looks like it is sprinkled with gold! Nice that it is an untouched beach.

Private and serene while still only being minutes from town. A rental car is a must. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful.

If you have a car, bring a cooler and some lunch and get here. This was a lovely place. The hotel Las Palmas is a good spot to get lunch if you didn't bring your own. There is just miles of beautiful white sand and peaceful beach.

Must go to Las Palmas Hotel Beach Club, great service and location. They have access to a private fresh water lagoon for kayaking.

Long secluded beach Playa Blanca located between Barra de Potosi and Playa Larga. You can walk for hours and meet only a few residents walking their furry friends.

Went to Barra De Potosi, and walked for miles down the pristine sand and ocean views. Waves were pounding the shore line on the day we were there, but in some spots people were in swimming, or fishing. Not much for restaurants here, except at the Lagoon end by Barra De Potosi. Lots of private homes, small boutique hotels, and... More

We stayed at a hotel on playa blanca & although the hotel was awesome the beach itself is dangerous with rips & strong currants. It is a very quite, non touristy beach. Some local food bars on the northern end where the locals gather.

The most beautiful beach in the whole wide world and my favorite place to hang out. It was empty when we visited and we had the whole 10 miles to ourselves. Swimming is good on barra de potosi side.
