play Blanca continues

if you are up for a long walk, you will enjoy a 10 mile stretch of Playa Blanca which at some point, around the airport, continues as Playa Larga. Gorgeous.

Please do NOT ride horses here. As an equine lover and horse owner I was appalled that I rode a horse with a huge and painful saddle sore that was not visible until I insisted on taking saddle off to brush him! I then returned with a Vet to treat the horse and they 'couldn't find him'. Blatant animal abuse

Popeye's at Playa Larga is our favorite spot for good, inexpensive food and fun in the sun. The occasional vendor stops by but no one is pushy. The waiters will hang a hammock if you ask for one. Families come here to spend the day and the kids enjoy the splash pool in the center of the restaurant while bigger... More

We got married on Playa Larga and it will always be my favorite beach. We live in Zihuatanejo and visit Playa Larga often.

Playa Larga is beautiful to visit and delicious to eat at. Popeyes is a repeat stop for us and we would return yet again. Service was efficient, friendly and fast, the food was really good but, beware: It can be spicy! The ocean is "open" and the waves can be not suitable for swimming.

Very relaxing can even have a nap in one of the many hammocks . Great service and wonderful food. Vendors selling their wares not obtrusive had help from "Charlie Brown" our guide for ordering and help with language for bartering with vendors beautiful view. Great fun.

We spend at least 1 day of our vacation here every year but aim for 2. We arrange to meet most of our Ixtapa/Zihua friends for our "day at the beach" at Popeyes restaurant. The restaurant has a large pool for the little ones right in the centre so that the adults can be enjoying themselves at a table while... More

Spent the day here, lunch at La Caracola which was very good. Best part is you can walk for miles (take water and suntan lotion) but you can't swim. Large rolling waves and undertow, not strong enough to pull you out but enough to be uncomfortable. If you are at Z for a couple of weeks take a day trip... More

A long beach with just a few enramadas which serve cold drinks and fresh fish. Great walking beach as you can walk for miles and miles . Just outside Zihuatanejo on the way to the airport.

Playa Larga is a large bay with about sixteen miles of deserted sandy beach facing the Pacific Ocean, but you knew that anyway. The photographs show a 'sailfish' image for the restaurant 'Popeye' which offers 'two bites at the cherry'. It has access to the ocean and a well kept and clean 'kiddies pool' right in the middle of the... More
