Caught the fisherman coming in at dawn

What a treat to be able to see this Mexican daily fish market open for business. Almost wished we had our own kitchen to cook up some of the fresh catches!

We go down to the main beach (Playa Principal) every year to walk along the beach front and stop and have a couple of beers and stick our toes in the sand at one of the beachfront restaurants. It is a great place to people watch and look out over the bay. There are shops and restaurants along the beach... More

The beach is pretty with all the little restaurants around it. In the early morning, the fishermen bring their catch in from the night and that is where you go to purchase fresh fish. I rated the beach low because a canal feeds into the beach and after a rain, there is a lot of run off flowing into the... More

Small area in front of the fish market, and in front of the Naval base. No restaurants on the beach becuase of location, but the sand is nice. Lots of boats anchored just off shore.

The Town beach gives a beautiful view of the bay. Tourist shops and restaurants abound along the beach front. In the evening the atmosphere changes to one of celebration as locals come down to the beach front for family activities around the basketball court. A Giant Christmas Tree constructed of sand is built and illuminated inDecember.

The waterfront area provides plenty of dining options as do the town's streets. It's a good place to walk early in the morning to see the local fishing boats sell their catch or walk the town street's shopping or stop for a meal. There is often events at the basketball courts on the waterfront in the evenings particularly on Sunday... More

Playa Principal is adjacent to the Centro district in downtown Zihua. There are plenty of interesting boutiques and quaint restaurants in this area, worth checking out. Walk through in the morning, to see the town's fisherman group presenting their catch to local buyers. That's a hard working group of people making their living from the sea. Some raw sewage is... Playa Principal is a great spot to people watch and get a meal on the beach. There are multiple restaurants along the paved walk that runs along the beach. For any meal of the day, you can get a table on the beach and eat for a very reasonable price. The local fish market is there as well. All of... More

"Wan'na go fishing?" Was the question you will be often asked to which I replied "No Gracias." Restaurants & shops to visit or a bench to sit and relax.

Them aim town beach here is one of the nicer ones, for a fishing town of this size. Surprisingly clean, with a nice wide, flat sand beach, lots of eating and drink options, all just steps from downtown, and on the nice male on along the water. The square on it has sports events and entertainment of all sorts every... More
