About Picante Sailing Catamaran
Cast off from Zihuatanejo Bay to the beautiful, secluded white sand beach and coral reef of Playa Manzanillo. Snorkeling, swimming and beach combing are the orders of the day. Set sail and keep watch for whales (in season), dolphin, sea turtles and mantra rays. Party back to the bay with a magnificent spinnaker run and anchor in front of Playa La Ropa for a ride on our 2400' spinnaker (wind permitting!). Open bar and lunch are provided.

The communication was very good prior to the trip(s). They even helped us to get back and forth to/from our hotel. We took this one and the Sunset cruise. I suggest going on their official website. It has good information and (tip) the price may not be as scary as advertised other places. We don't drink, so I felt we wouldn't get our monies worth, like others who do take advantage of the open bar, but it was worth it. The crew was active, entertaining and engaging. There was plenty of space and plenty of hand sanitizer! The lunch/snacks were well thought out. We even saw a whale! They definitely had good customer service from start to finish. I would go book again. I have no complaints, besides for a little more competition on the dance floor! :)

Where to start? Throw ~30 people (1/2 pre-lubed loud millennials) on a cat, put up the jib sheet only, run under smelly diesel power and pretend you are sailing. Make sure anyone that chooses to get sloppy drunk is over-served, crank the pop/salsa/crappy music to 11 (Spinal Tap reference) and serve semi-raw, very bland chicken kabobs. If you eat them, you are either hammered or recently released from a WW2 detention camp. Run to Ixtapa, show a few rocks, turn broadship to show the sunset and diesel back to port. 1/2 way back, lower the Jin sheet because the only people you are fooling are hammered. Finishing touch? If you are 67 y/o, have an artificial knee and a multi-level spinal fusion, be prepared to hear “watch yourself big boy” (no, not obese, just balance-wary) as you disembark. By the way, I have over 50 years experience running big water. A trip for the scrapbook.

The boat and the crew were excellent. The beer and drinks were plenty and cold. The trip was made by other guests who got us all singing and dancing. Was an awesome trip.

Crew was entertaining and welcoming. We saw grey whales, dolphins and sea turtles. The sunset and the drinks were just what we needed to finish off our week in Zihuatanejo

We’ve been on this cruise many many time and is the highlight of our trip. Great staff and drinks and food are perfect. Just so relaxing being on the boat with the breeze and sitting on the tramp. Manny is greas as the others. Remember to always leave them a good tip after back at shore.
