Lovely relaxed boat ride through the jungle. Great for bird watching, alligator sightings, and lush, spectacular scenery. The cantina and fresh water swimming hole made for a refreshing stop-off. Would do this again - but be sure to wear lots of bug spray!

We took the late afternoon, 3 hour boat ride with Chencho Banuelos thru the mangroves. What a spectacular ride, to experience up close the vegetation, birds and even crocodiles that make up this frontier between land and sea. Chencho was a great source for birding,...More

My brother never forgets this river experience. Bird life alone makes it worth it, but funky turtles and ferocious huge alligators, it's a must do.

A relaxing and worthwhile way to spend half a day, especially morning before it gets too hot....the boatman points out in Englisht the wildlife that he spots along the way. Not a lot of different birds this year, but lots of crocs and turtles in...More

When visiting in the San Blas, it is highly advisable to take a boat ride through the estuary and mango swamps just south of town at La Tovara. This is excellent for bird watchers as there are many migratory birds passing through the area all...More

We saw many species of herons and other water birds. Potoos and Pauraque were common. Plenty of falcons and hawks including Snail Kite and Laughing Falcon. If you are a birder, this is the trip for you.

River cruise in small motorboat was really interesting, gliding through mangroves, white water lilies, with our Mexican guide spotting tortugas ( turtles ), birds, iguana, and of course crocodiles ( they call them cocodrillo ). A very peaceful, tranquil Eco trip. I am not much of...More

I believe it's free parking. I never really thought of that since we came by cab. But it looks like you can park anywhere here in Mexico.
