A wonderful experience camping on the island. There are no hotels to stay in and the island is home to noisy frigate birds which wake you very early.

I am wondering if there are bats in winter, if they come out in the cold weather predicted for Austin while we are here? I am thrown off by the recent posts about seeing bats. Only one person indicated the bats fly south. Will I see them in January or not?
