- Steve1Toronto, Canada1,899 contributionsOne of our favorite things about Vallarta is the wonderful array of entertainment options beyond bars. We love the Palm - a wonderfully intimate theatre that doesn't have a bad seat. And they have a great lineup of performers. These include some incredibly talented drag queens who sing in their own fantastic voices rather than lip synching. We also love seeing many of the same performers, who return with new shows each year. Toronto's own Miss Conception, who regularly sells out here, presents a greatest hits show to mark her 25 years of drag, with 25 amazing costume changes in a one-hour show, including playing all the characters in the Wizard of Oz, along with other greats from movies and TV, including Lucille Ball, Jessica Rabbit and villains from Disney movies. Sutton Lee Seymour is presenting Witch Please, a fantastic show with a Wicked/Wizard of Oz theme and includes some beautiful backup dancers from the troupe Boys on Fire, who perform at Coco's Cabaret this season and are also recommended. Sutton Lee outdid herself this year, with impressive videos and costumes and she's also a great singer. We also loved Evita Loca, who does phenomenal vocal impressions of Broadway and movie greats, including Patti Lupone, Eartha Kitt, Julie Andrews, Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland and Elaine Stritch. Evita (sorry, I don't know the name of the guy playing her) has truly impressive vocal chops (he toured in the Jersey Boys) and a great sense of humor in his interactions with the audience. He did an amazing rendition of the tune The Ladies who Lunch, switching voices every few seconds and showing pictures of who he's imitating on a screen. Every drag queen does Cher, but Evita has one of the most hilariously accurate impressions I've heard. Delta Myles has a wonderfully intimate tribute to Judy Garland that we loved. Delta really gets the mannerisms and style down pat, and performs some of her classics, including Man that Got Away and Over the Rainbow. A truly impressive singing voice with just the right amount of Judy vibrato. Highly recommended. The ticket prices for the entertainment offered at the Palm are very reasonable, and they serve drinks during the show as well. We don't do alcohol, but the chocolate smoothies are delicious. Thanks to the Palm and wait staff for another memorable year.Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten January 28, 2025
- DwightLondon, United Kingdom7 contributionsAs a Brit living in London, I’m fortunate to be surrounded by top-tier live entertainment, so I’ve always approached American drag queens with a bit of skepticism. The lip-syncing and cliché one-liners often felt formulaic compared to the more theatrical performances I’m used to in the UK. That is, until I saw this show. From start to finish, it was pure magic. This show has it all: a thrilling mix of variety, biting humour, flawless impersonations of your favourite icons, and the introduction of new characters you’ll instantly adore. I found myself laughing so hard my stomach ached. Chi Chi is a true standout sensation, whose powerhouse vocals left me bewildered by how such a collection of huge voices could come from someone who describes themselves as fried pork rinds. Joanna is pure comic genius, not to mention her gut-wrenching act toward the end of the show (no spoilers: if you’ve seen her party trick, you know; if you haven’t, read this review again after you’ve seen the performance – trust me, you’re in for an unforgettable moment). All of this, wrapped in the premise of a talent competition with a celebrity panel, was the perfect touch. The right amount of audience interaction kept things electric (be sure to have something in your glass by the end of the show). If you’re craving a fresh spin on classic entertainment, look no further – this is the show to see. Duelling Drag Divas will now be a permanent fixture on my itinerary every time I visit Puerto Vallarta. Don’t miss out – this is where the heart of live entertainment truly beats!Visited February 2025Traveled soloWritten February 15, 2025
- Charlynn EMinneapolis, Minnesota97 contributionsBased on enjoying the musicians in orange yesterday at the Olas Altas market, we bought tickets for today for the big band performance at Coco Cabaret by The Palm for today. 17+ musicians and singers from Cuba. Incredible! It was their final performance for this engagement, but we hope they’ll be back!Visited March 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten March 3, 2025
- Sam S2 contributionsMy partner and I went to the Palm for drinks on a Friday night and was greeted by Judy who was ever so kind to us giving us recommendations and making us laugh. A very kind woman. We enjoyed a night at the Coco Cabaret for the Lady Gaga impersonator show which was phenomenal and so impressive. We came back to the Palm on a Tuesday for the “Witch, Pls!” Show by Sutton Lee Seymour which was such a great laugh. This was our fav show. The singing, acting and jokes were so incredible I highly recommend this show to anyone in the area. I think The Palm is an essential in PV and you should not miss out to see their shows.Visited January 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten January 21, 2025
- Linda E6 contributionsSimply the best! Miss Conception is the ultimate connoisseur in the art of drag, whose energy and talent knows no bounds! Her opening night, 25th anniversary performance blew me away. 25 costume changes! 25 different characters! Don’t sit too close to the stage or you might be up there dancing in a costume and wig yourself! It happened to my husband a couple of years ago and to this day, every time I think about it, I laugh out loud. It’s a lasting memory. Get ready to party with Miss Conception, a remarkable illusionist, singer, dancer, storyteller, comedian, drag queen who gives 200% ❤️ A must see!Visited November 2024Traveled with friendsWritten November 30, 2024
- DJFabianSt. John's, Canada9 contributionsJust back from our annual trek to Puerto Vallarta and no trip is ever complete without a visit to The Palm. Two acts that always seem to sell out and pack the house are Miss Conception and Sutton Lee Seymore and both put on incredible stage shows every time. Big props to staff of The Palm who handled a ticket glitch in their system in a timely professional manner and ensured our group of 5 did get in to see a show we had booked. And a shout out to Eve on the main desk at door who is a great asset to the business and greets everyone with smile. In meantime if you want to see shows here be sure to prebook especially Miss Conception and Sutton Lee.....2 incredible acts that have dedicated a lifetime to creating a great show for the audience every time.Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten February 4, 2025
- loungingincaftansNew York City, New York13 contributionsDelighted to have had my first trip of the year be to sunny Puerto Vallarta and to stay right around the corner from the Palm with a good friend. While there, we made a point of seeing who was in town and were sure to grab tickets for Sutton Lee Seymour's and Tina Burner's shows (definitely buy tickets in advance - the shows sell out, and the waitlist is a hard one to clear). The thing that impresses me most about a drag show are the smarts - and each of these shows reflected not JUST a lottt of thought and planning in advance, but two incredibly talented queens who think so, so quickly on the spot. This was my first time seeing Sutton in PVR, whose show this year focuses on the Wizard of Oz and Wicked, and she happened to call on an audience member who just happened to be called Glenda - trust, this was all just by chance! - and the off-the-cuff jokes didn't stop coming. Sutton also pulled me on stage at one point and asked me to do a kick ball change -- and I confess I didn't know what that was and pantomimed something else instead -- and she took my guess and ran with it, jokes all the way. Sutton's and Tina's interactions with the audience are just so, so good. Without spoiling the content of either show, both reflect a ton of research; Sutton goes deep into the world of Oz and Tina into Hollywood, both with a lot of background and context I hadn't known. Lots of great, well-timed jokes, and amazing surprises. They are both so clever, so creative, and genuinely just wonderful people, also making tons of time after the show to talk and take pictures. It was such a joy to see them both and both of their incredible shows. The staff at the venue, too, from the front door to cocktail servers and beyond were also super kind. All in all, two great nights out we'll remember for a long time. Thank you Sutton, Tina, and the Palm!Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten January 21, 2025
- Lenny S2 contributionsMama Tits in Escandalo will make you feel the feels. Highly recommend if you think you’ve seen all there is to see because you’re a fancy LGBTQ+ pro, but HIGHLY recommend if you’ve never been to a drag show and want to try something new. You’ll love her taste in music, Mama’s and Diego’s singing chops, and the athleticism of some amazing dancers. We can’t visit PV without seeing Mama Tits!Visited March 2025Traveled with friendsWritten March 7, 2025
- Passport239709244012 contributionsMiss Conception’s 25th Anniversary special is a live singing show, celebrating her greatest hits and acts, over a quarter century of professional entertainment! With 25 dazzling costume changes, singing, witty jokes, and interactions with the audience, it is a show not to be missed if you are visiting PV!! The house was packed with laughter, cheering, and everybody was singing-along; with a twist of humour between performances, that only Miss Conception can deliver!! We go and see the show every year and this year brought together the greatest of numbers from over the years!! Do not miss this opportunity to celebrate this 25th Anniversary Special!!Visited February 2025Traveled with friendsWritten March 3, 2025
- johnVancouver, Canada17 contributionsIf there is one thing to do in Puerto Vallarta, it is to see the "miss Conception 25th Anniversary show" at the Palm. I first saw miss c 14 years ago at her first show and thought she was magnificent. Using her own voice she has a range from the softest ballad "frozen" to making the floor boards rattle in "dude looks like a lady!" Miss c for this show brings out all of her best. In nine minutes flat she explores the entire "wizard of oz" movie. With her signature wit and charm, miss c doesn't miss a beat. Give a sideways glance in the audience and miss c will pic up on it and have you rolling in the aisle. From there it is a 90 minute journey of an emotional roller coaster. Highlights include "over the rainbow", "Mrs doubtfire" and the beautiful rendition of "seasons of love" where there isn't a dry eye in the house. 25 costume changes done on stage, as though she just jumps and lands as a new and loving character. She is beautiful as a Disney villain "Ursula"voluptuous as "jessica rabbit" and hysterical as "Kathy bates" from misery. Best part of the show is the end where she strips off her costume, removes all her make up and dawns jeans and a t-shirt only to introduce herself as "kevin". The thundering standing ovation that must have gone on for 5 minutes leaves the performer humble and gracious. I will forever be a fan.Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten January 17, 2025

Sutton Lee Seymour at the Palms Cabaret - When we spend time in Puerto Vallarta we always enjoy seeing a show before dinner or a night out. Last night we saw Sutton's new show “Broadway Barbie” and it did not disappoint. Sutton is a true professional and an amazing talent.
The show is worth every peso and I would highly recommend it to anyone who asks…and some that don’t!

Palm Cabaret's Abba Tribute: A Disappointing Experience
The recent Abba tribute show at the Palm Cabaret in Puerto Vallarta fell significantly short of expectations. While the venue itself offers a lively atmosphere for other performances, this particular tribute was plagued by several shortcomings.
Instrumental Domination: The lead vocals were consistently overpowered by the instrumental musicians. This resulted in a muddled sound where the singers were difficult to hear and appreciate.
Distracting Balancing Act: A constant balancing act throughout the show proved to be a major distraction. The performer's frequent adjustments were jarring and detracted from the musical performance.
Lackluster Tribute: The overall presentation lacked the energy and polish expected from a tribute act. It failed to capture the essence and iconic sound of Abba, leaving much to be desired.
High Expectations, Low Delivery
Having enjoyed other shows at the Palm Cabaret, such as the Freddie Mercury and Lady Gaga tributes, I was particularly disappointed by this Abba performance. These previous shows showcased strong musicianship and a clear dedication to capturing the spirit of the original artists. Unfortunately, the Abba tribute failed to meet this standard.
A Costly Disappointment
At a price of $75 USD, this show felt overpriced considering the quality of the performance. The significant shortcomings overshadowed the overall experience, leaving a sense of disappointment and a feeling that the money could have been better spent elsewhere.
Recommendation:
While the Palm Cabaret offers a variety of entertaining shows, I would advise potential attendees to exercise caution when considering the Abba tribute. Based on my experience, it may not live up to the expectations set by other performances at the venue.

We went to see the Freddy Mercury tribute. The show was first class. Roy Gomez Cruz was amazing as Freddy. He engaged the audience be encouraging sing alongside, clapping, waving arms and picking people out for skits which were well done.
I was impressed by his back up dancers as well. The strength, agility, ability to display emotion was very impressive.
The Palm Caberet was an intimate venue which suited the performance.
I highly recommend attending this performance and others at the Palm Caberet.

The shows here are always first rate and the staff does a great job to ensure you are enjoying yourself. There was a slight mishap when buying tickets at the Farmers Market this past weekend. They inadvertently sold us tickets for a show that was the wrong date. Management and staff quickly rectified the situation and made sure we were happy. We have been to several shows over the last several years at this venue and highly recommend. It is always our first "go to" when looking for entertainment during our visits to PV.

We have gone to see Miss Conception now for the past few years. Her 25th anniversary show is one for the books. I do not know how one person has so much energy. She did 25 costume changes on stage. We loved it so much we saw the show both in December and this past month. Do you self a favor and go see this show while in PV. You will not be disappointed!

We came for Cecile’s Beyoncé tribute concert on a Thursday and were so impressed that we immediately bought tickets for the Rihanna tribute the next day. Both were absolutely amazing experiences with jaw dropping, spot on live vocals, great costumes and choreography. Cecille is a pitch perfect impressionist and so totally embodies the essence of Beyoncé and Rihanna that it is hard to believe we watched the same performer on both nights. Highly recommend both shows!

Years and years ago, Miss Conception kicked off what would become an iconic Sunday drag show in Toronto. I had the pleasure of being the main bartender for her show every Sunday for many years, and I got to watch her become a world class entertainer. She built incredible shows while developing her skills through never ending hard work on her part.
Over the years , I’ve seen her get booked and grow her reputation across the world to the point where she’s now « wintering » in Puerto Vallarta, « summering » in Provincetown and spending the shoulder seasons being booked around the world on cruises and god knows what else.
Last week, we saw her show « Tooned Out » at the Palm, and she f***ing killed it. She spent the entire show singing live, her voice a beautiful comforting sound that she built over years of hard work with vocal coaches and practice. To say that I’m so go**amn impressed with her is an understatement. Listening to Miss Conception sing, dance, twirl, get the audience involved, and do more shots than what is probably healthy for a drag queen last week really blew me away. If you ever have a chance to see her live , please do , you won’t be disappointed .

The show quality was outstanding. I saw Evita Loca, Witch Please!, and the Billy Joel & Elton John shows. All three shows were extremely impressive. The drag shows were audience participation which made them super fun. There's a 2 drink minimum and the the prices were very reasonable ($6 for a Bacardi & Coke). The venue is intimate, the sound and lights were top quality, and the drink service was quick and friendly.

Miss Conception is the consummate entertainer that always leaves you feeling good and wanting more. Celebrating 25 years of drag, Miss Conception puts on a performance like no other with 25 creative costume changes before your very eyes, live singing, and witty humor that has the sold-out audiences singing, laughing and spellbound! This original, fast pace and high energy extravaganza is the best drag show in PV and is definitely a must-see. Check it out at the Palm Cabaret and thank me later.

Sutton Lee Seymour’s “Witch, Please!” is a must see!! Sutton is a standout in terms of performance and delightfully crafts a show that taps into the witches craze we’ve seen this year in terms of Wicked, Agatha All Along, etc. The punchlines are punching, she doesn’t miss a note, and she gives a FULL OUT performance! The special thing about Sutton is she knows how to engage and work a crowd and you are left feeling at ease and comfortable knowing that you are in good hands. The lady has truly created something special and unique which shows off her comedic chops and has you IN IT with her through the whole performance. If you’re in need of some great laughs and escapism, Sutton IS that girl!

Good question… I don’t think so?? But I would certainly not take anyone under 18 to any of the drag shows…. The language and “innuendo” is way stronger than what I would want a minor exposed to….
However, I don’t think they enforce an age limit (but check the website…)
