Los Arcos one of the best scuba places around Puerto Vallarta, you will see all kinds of tropical fish, and hard to find sea creatures like octopus, sea turtles, rock fish, sea horse and others. On our boat trip to get there we saw Dolphins! I recommend it to scuba divers and snorkeling.

Went on about a 45 min SLOW cruise to get there and snorkeled around a bit. Place was packed with boats and rocks were not completely covered with life. There were some corals and other stuff attached. Loads of fish though. Big wave movement so it is difficult and a bit dangerous around the rocks if you are a novice.

The whole area around Los Arcos is beautiful, even thought the swells were pretty large when we visited. It was empty according to our dive master which was nice, but when we dove the area, the visibility was awful and there was not much sea life at all :( Huge disappointment!

The snorkeling at Los Arcos is amazing. My husband and I have snorkeled and scuba dived in many countries (Thailand, Honduras, Turks and Caicos...), and this is the best snorkeling we have ever seen. The fish are not only numerous and colorful, but they are very close to the surface. It is a magical experience. We have been to Los... More

Had a great time many times snorkelling. Lots of beautiful fish and the water is so warm. We enjoyed our time there.

We sailed on the Bay of Banderas and after seeing some whales and dolphins decided that snorkeling at Los Arcos would be perfect. A very pretty place!

I have gone diving at Los Arcos several times with Chico's Dive shop. Chico's is a great shop to dive with and the Los Arcos Park has some wonderful things to see. We have seen rays, turtles and so many fish that I have no idea what they were. On one dive we could hear the whales while people on... More

I went to Puerto Vallarta for my birthday in June 2012, and my ex-fiancé (girlfriend at the time) recommended we check this out since she has been to this city before, and it was well worth it. For about $35 each at the travel agency we went through, we got a boat ride to the Los Arcos islands and snorkeled... More

You can also charter a boat, the same as a fishing boat. Just be sure that it is licensed to go inside the island and to the beach. This gives you much more flexibility as to snorkeling or other stops, as opposed to the scheduled tours. With 4 people, it should cost less.
