This used to be a wonderful hidden gem. With ever tour operator discovering this gem it has now become a overcrowded nightmare, where boats/kayaks & paddle boards are literally boating over swimming children and families. It's not worth the trip anymore.

About an hour and a half walk form Boca. Nice afternoon hike with nice swimming beaches and a margarita stop at a resort along the way. Lunch on the Las animas beach was great value and a cheap (50 peso) water taxi back to Boca...More

Lots of activities to keep you busy while you are visiting Las Animas Beach, You can go Horseback riding up to the falls or use the water equipment to go kayaking or bouncer on the water. We used the horses to go to the waterfall.

As a matter of fact, it isn't even in the same municipality! The only way to reach this delightful site is by boat. The ride takes about a half hour.

Enjoyed a stop there via the Vallarta Adventures; good beach and good people! the iguana guy put his HUGE Iguana on my head! -- it was alright - I was alright with it!! I've seen other "vendors" with iguanas, but this is the Largest ever!
