I have been on other cities' malecons; this is by far the best. It was our go-to destination every evening once we discovered it. Every day is different. Easy to get to via bus. Great area for watching the water. Lots of family activities. Huge variety of restaurants. Shops. Traditional indigenous dance and music. Public amphitheater. We watched a pantomime/magic... More

The Malecon is a must for visitors and residents. We always make several trips up and down in the day and night. There is usually something going on in the evenings with performers or vendors. It's beautiful and a lot of fun.

On one side you have an endless sea horizon, on the other businesses and restaurants, some of them very good. On the boardwalk, beautiful sculptures, surprising street performers, art vendors, and many places to sit and enjoy. El malecón is a must, specially in the afternoon, for a long delightful walk.

This is a boardwalk like many that are on resort towns. A lot of people and stores. BUT don't miss it as it is worth visiting, if for no other reason walking along the ocean is always great.

We came here on our last night in Puerto Vallarta. We walked here after dinner & it was very nice. We saw the street food vendors, a couple of street shows, & local artists selling their wares. We really liked it very much. My took pics & saw some cool things. It's a cool place to check out while your... More

Not sure if we missed something but we went to the malecon three times during our two week stay-each time slightly more frustrating than the last. You can't walk more than a few metres before being hassled by either a street or shop seller. Understandably they want the business but they are far too pushy, especially when you want to... More

Our family had a pleasurable time at the boardwalk. There's lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. Lots of other tourist in this area which makes it pretty interesting.

Went here on the advice of a fellow cruiser. We were on the cruise ship, the Carnival Miracle. After a short taxi ride, we got to the boardwalk. It was a lot bigger than I expected. After a great lunch of beef tacos and a few Coronas, it was time to take in the boardwalk. My kids loved looking at... More
