The El Malecon is a good place for a stroll along the beach front. There are many shops, bars and restaurants to stop at along the way. The addition of sculptures along the way, as well as free bike retails was a nice upgrade with the recent renovations.

A pleasant walk along the front of PV. Clean, and seams very safe. Not too much hassle from the hustlers either. Lots of places to choose for food/drink too. Well worth a visit.

It is impossible to go to PV without going to the Malecon. If you are a fan of handcrafted arts and crafts, the malecon is a must do. Never take a piece of merchandise at its original price here, everything here is negotiable. The street performers are fun for everybody, and the food, if you find the right place, is... More

We visited here with our three teenagers and after about 30 minutes we were all ready to leave. This area has lots of shops and restaurants but also lots of people begging and selling items. Pretty statues along the boardwalk but very touristy. The hotels and restaurants along this boardwalk were all a bit trashy is you ask me. I... More

Super clean and fun place to walk around and shop! Felt very safe even for being in a group of 4 college girls. Saw some cool little shows on the side of the street performed by locals as well. Only thing is there are a lot of vendors who try to get your attention but we would just smile and... More

Walk was beautiful with a few old churches to explore. Not to far too walk from the center square to the end.

The El Malecon Boardwalk is a great place for anything you want to do. Shopping, drinking, eating, dancing or a quiet walk with family or loved ones. The food and entertainment are inexpensive and it is open most of the day and well into the night.

this is a MUST DO trip....approx 15 minutes from the resort by taxi for 65 pesos. The driver will ask if you would like to get dropped off at start, middle or end of Malecon Boardwalk just say "start" because it is only a 10 min walk from start to end of boardwalk. Shopping, Senor Frogs Bar, Entertainment and many... More
