About
Choose from 2 short walking tours, 3 all-day adventures, and a Mexican wine-tasting experience. I focus on the history and culture of Mexico through small group immersion. Groups are kept small for a more personal experience. See local life, culture, art, history, architecture, food, tropical gardens, and of course the friendly Mexican people. Hear stories about those who have shaped this charming town. Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and beauty of this tropical paradise while discovering places you may not find on your own.

I love taking walking tours when I visit a new city, so I was excited to discover Sandra's tour online. My husband and I lucked out and were the only two people on our tour. Sandra explained the history of Puerto Vallarta and showed us many of the city's landmarks, such as Our Lady of Guadalupe church and "Gringo Gulch" where the movie Night of the Iguana was filmed and where Hollywood types built beautiful villas in the 1960s. We learned about some local artists and also visited a few shops that sell locally-made and authentic Mexican products, and took a break for a mango smoothie at a chocolate shop. The tour lasted about three hours but we did not walk a very long distance. We took plenty of breaks and popping in stores helped us cool off and minimized the effects of the heat. Sandra also recommended a restaurant, El Campanario, where we had delicious lunch plates with a bowl of soup for the equivalent of US$12. I would recommend taking Sandra's tour upon your arrival to Puerto Vallarta to learn about the city and get ideas for exploring on your own later.

We were in Chocolate Heaven for a few lovely hours and Sandra was our heavenly angel. She guided us through the history of chocolate and with the help of a lovely and charming Mexican woman, named Gia, supervised our sorting, peering, grinding and tasting of hot chocolate. Sandra even recorded and shared the pictures of our little adventure, she expertly took us through the cobbled streets of Old Town to some very unique, funky chocolate spots frequented by local aficionados.
Throughout Sandra was expertly informed, warm and engaging and sensitive to needs and safety in navigating the streets. Of course, conversation drifted far beyond chocolate and revealed Sandra's love for the city and community. A wonderful experience for us. We hope to,enjoy some ofnSandra's other offerings in visits to come!

We loved our tour of El Tuito, courtesy of Sandra Cesca and Puerto Vallarta Walking Tours. El Tuito is a small town 30 miles south of Puerto Vallarta. It has a unique charm and unlike anything I've seen outside of Puerto Vallarta.

Sandra hired a driver and took us to many different places along the way - an empanada stand with fresh empanadas of at least 10 different flavors, a Raicilla distiller who makes is own brand, and a manufacturer of concrete bricks and blocks used throughout Mexico. When we got to town, we toured the main Plaza, the Cultural Center, the gorgeous San Pedro Apostol Parish, a torilla manufacturer, the streets and stores surrounding the main plaza, and areas just outside of the main town, seeing beautiful homes, a secondary school (the marching band was practicing that day!), the home of an artist who makes sculptures of clay, and a wonderful not-for-profit art gallery which features a wide variety of works done by local artists.

All along the way, Sandra provided us much interesting information about El Tuito's history, the backgrounds of many of the businesses we saw, and life in general in El Tuito. Sandra is a wealth of knowledge and her command of the Spanish language really enhances the learning experience.

We finished the day with a lovely meal of authentic Mexican food along the town square.

The trip to El Tuito was well worth it. It's a small, hidden town and a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The town is clean and tranquil. The people are wonderful. Truly charming.

This was my second Walking Tour with Sandra (Pitillal was the first) and I'd happily do another with her in the future.

On February 11th, my husband and I went on the Gringo Gulch Walking Tour with Sandra. This tour and Sandra"s expertise exceeded our expectations. Sandra was knowledgeable, professional, considerate and had some personal stories that added to the information being shared. We enjoyed her passion for Puerto Vallarta. This tour should not be missed as the area is fascinating and Sandra captured its essence beautifully. Karen and Jeff - Oakville, Ontario

Sandra is a great guide that knows PVR like the back of her hand. She will guide you to the hidden-in-plain-sight gems of the city while being able to answer all your questions about PVR and Mexico in general. I recommend this tour to all who want to have a deeper understanding of PVR.

Our multi generational family met with Sandra for a private walking tour of Historic El Centro on Feb 20th. Sandra was extremely knowledgeable and provided great insight into the history of the area while we walked - the tour had something for everyone. The stores that we visited sold quality authentic Mexican goods and each provided insight into Mexican culture. Although it was hot out and we met in the late afternoon, Sandra did a great job keeping us in the shade and at a pace that no one fell behind. Everyone (ages 83-16) agreed it was one of our highlights of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. Thanks Sandra!

Was great to show your family the culture of Vallarta. There is much to learn about the history, folk arts, architecture and more including meeting some of the local merchants and artisans to see how they live and work. Immersion is the best way to do this, even if only for a couple of hours. Come back soon!

Sondra was our guide for our walking tour of Historic El Centro Puerto Vallarta. Sondra was very informative. She focussed on what she perceived were our interests and guided us through the area. We visited historic, as well as, cultural and artistic interests. we are so fortunate that we were able to spend time with Sondra and hope to take other tours on future visits,

Won the door prize draw at a local charity event, which turned out to be Sandra’s awesome day tour of San Sebastián near Puerto Vallarta. We invited 10 friends, asked Sandra to help with various “special details” , and she ably took it from there.
Super friendly knowledgeable drivers plus Sandra’s in depth description of the varied fun and interesting sites in and around San Sebastián made our day so unforgettable!
Great value. Comfortable easy drive. Amazing host and guides. Terrific day all round.

One of the highlights of our trip! Sandra gave us an excellent overview of our new favorite city in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta. The local artisans, Huichol beaded art sculptures, Talavera pottery, fine handmade textiles, chocolate and coffee. In addition, learning about the history, religion and culture of Puerto Vallarta made our tour so interesting. Sandra really knows the city and is well respected by the locals. We plan a second trip soon and will take a different tour to another theme. Thank you Sandra as we felt we made a new friend.

Sandra met my husband and I for the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood tour and we loved every minute of our time together. We walked the entire neighborhood that really gave us a nice intro to our 10 day stay in PV, We especially enjoyed the market and returned several times for a morning smoothie and bought dried hibiscus flowers to make our new favorite tea here at home ! Sandra was so informative and knew local people all over the place. We went to several interesting artisans. Bought leather and glass souvenirs and wrapped up our day with a nice lunch together. We returned to several places she pointed out on our tour that we probably would not have discovered on our own. We will definitely recommend Sandra to friends and will see her on another tour in the future when we return to PV.
