Fun experience

Nice off the path trip by boat. Horse back riding scary but very exciting. Swim under the falls very refreshing.

Take a hike or ride horseback to the waterfall. Stop and have a beverage. The water is cold in the pond but people do swim in it.

Took a water taxi over to Quimixto for the day and took a short hike up to the granite water fall that you would never expect to be there, water was a bit cold but refreshing as it flowed out of the mountaive and created a natural granite slide. the kids loved it.

We booked our holiday to PV very last minute so did not do much research. We did not know we could do this trip by ourselves by bus and sea taxi for cheaper. We took the Vallarta by Boat – “tourist party boat” (paid in US$) from the port (port fee 25 pesos p/p), did a beautiful snorkelling tour, dropped... More

We absolutely loved this place. Traveled by speed boat then horses to arrive in paradise. Nelly is the best guide ever!! I can't wait to return. Everyone should experience this adventure.

Quimixto, a small town on Bay of Banderas coast south of Puerto Vallarta seems less busy than a couple of years ago. They say the beaches aren't as wide, etc. The waterfall--foot or horseback access only--is still pretty and the water cold! But the only restaurant besides the waterfall's is a good hike as well--too far for me. If you... More

This place is perfect for families, friends, or even couples that just want to escape civilization. I camped there 1 night and it was a wonderful experience, the locals joined us and made small talk of the area, we shared a few beers, and the sun and stars were so bright that when the campfire we made went out, we... Quimixto beach is all right but it is a good departure point to get to a waaaaay nicer beach. When you get to the pier walk in the direction of the yoga hotel (maybe check google maps before to get an idea of the area) and just past the hotel's private beach is a phenomenal beach with no name and... Quimixto is a charming little paradise. We have had two visits that were the highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. There is a beautiful beach with umbrellas, chairs, and great food and drinks with superb service.

We walked barefoot up and back from the falls. Soft earth trail carved through a dense jungle. You could ride a horse for about $20. The hike was about a mile or a bit longer. The falls are powerful, refreshing and rejuvenating. Make sure you take a swim. The water was not cold. A small restaurant at the falls serves... More
