We drove to boca de tomatalian and hired a guide and captain to take us to the waterfall. We had the boat to ourselves and were given a nice tour of the bay. The guide told us we didn't need a horse, and while I wouldn't say the hike was easy it certainly wasn't hard. Yes there is horse droppings... More

At a friend's suggestion, we spent the day here. A very secluded beach and quite easy to get to. Head to Boca de Tomatlan and hire a water taxi to drop you on the beach at Quimixto. It's quite basic with no frills, but fun and relaxing. The owners will put out beach chairs and umbrellas for you group. The... More

My older kids did the ziplining and rope course. They LOVED it! They did say it was harder then they expected. We did not hike to the waterfall, as we also have a 20 month old, and the hike would have been too much for us with her. But others in our group went and said it was awesome. We... More

I got a package that included a small breakfast, a boat trip to quimixto and then back to Las Animas Beach to eat. The boat ride was ok. When we got to Quimixto nobody told us it was a 1 hour uphill hike on a place where ther is no trail. The safest way to climb is by renting a... More

This was truly an adventure. We got to this island and deciding to ride the horses up to the waterfall. That was an adventure. My horse was an adventuress and trying going off the path a couple of times, it made it fun. Once we arrived to the waterfall there was a lil restaurant and they have drinks, snacks and... More

This is a fun trip, especially for kids. Our guide was Poncho , and he was hilarious! He took extra care of my youngest child on a horse, showed us how to swim to the waterfall, and was entertaining the whole way.

We took a water taxi/guide from Boca to the Village. Sweet place, old town. Horse back riding into the mountains brings you to a majestic waterfall where you can swim in the fresh water. Great restaurant onsite.
