Great for walking, boogie boarding, or sunning. My favorite beach in the bay of banderas. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at Rancho Banderas which is right on this beach. The beach is QUIET and perfect. There a few other buildings along the beach, but its still very quiet. The sand is soft, and the water is warm. You feel like to want to walk for hours!

This beach is about a 30 minute bus ride through the mountains from the Mega store bus stop which is south of Buceria. It is a pretty beach with a bathroom for changing clothes. Food and drink available . A sign identified the beach as public beach so we were surprised that they charge $7.50 US dollars for an umbrella... More

This beach is not in Puerto Vallarta, it's about a 5 minute (Mexican Driver bus ride) north of La Cruz, good 30-35 minutes taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta. That said, it's a beautiful nature beach with a small restaurant and some chairs you can hire for the day. The ocean is beautiful and the beach lovely for a long walk,... More

We first encountered Destiladaras Beach in 1997. It was stunning and very untouched. You could get amazing seafood served from a little shack. Palapas were on the beach to use for free. The waves were amazing for boogie boarding or body surfing. Jump forward 20 years. The beach is still amazing but the public access is disappearing. However we have... More

Fun beach, diverse lodging options near by, coarse sand, amazing sunsets!. Some fun waves for surfing. If you do a all inclusive hotel like The Grand Palladium, your water equipment is included like boogie boards, windsurfing, surfboards, if you go on your own bring plenty of water, food and your toys because one part, the public part has no facilities.... Just stumbled across this beach while out driving. I think it is the best beach in the area for walking on with soft rock free sand. Too bad we found it on our last day there. There is a very good restaurant, but we were not there for a meal, only a couple of beers. Will definitely be back if... More

We don't live too far from this big white beach, so we tend to go late in the afternoon and walk the beach. The grandchildren love the water as the tide is going out -- you can walk for meters and meters into the water and the gentle waves.... We also tend to walk away from the music and the... More

There has been some changes to the beach that has made it so much better. The entrance has been moved further up the road so now you have no stairs to worry about, you walk straight onto the beach. A great restaurant to sit at or take your food to your beach chair. And now BATHROOMS. Still one of the... More

What a great find while on my stay. Very quiet, remote beach with tables, umbrellas and lounge chairs to rent. It is not crowded like other beaches. Water and clear and warm. there is also wait staff to bring you buckets of beer, and food.
